Wishing you a Happy

Holiday Season

Dear Cynthia,

I want to wish you Cheerful Holidays and a Happy, Peaceful, Healthy New Year.

We’re going through hard times in Amboseli. We still haven’t had enough rain, although there has been some rain outside the Park and the wildlife, including the elephants, have moved into those more fortunate areas. Once again, these conditions show just how crucial the whole ecosystem is to the elephants. Amboseli National Park is tiny. We’re working hard to try to secure corridors and dispersal areas for wildlife, but there are many hurdles to overcome. Working with the Big Life Foundation and the Maasai community, there is still a chance for conservation to succeed in the Amboseli ecosystem. However, we need your help. Please consider a donation to secure a future for the Amboseli elephants.

50 Years of Memories

For these holidays we want to share some photos of the wonderful people and amazing elephants we've known over the past 50 years.

Ways You Can Support Us

Join Elatia

This is lovely Elaine from the EB family, one of six families you can follow in our Elatia program. You can choose one or all of the families. Regular updates include news, photos and videos. To learn more about Elatia go to This Link or contact us directly on : info@elephanttrust.org

Name an Elephant Calf

Winona's calf was named Wombat eight years ago. She's now 10 years old and could become pregnant in the next two years. Her namer has been able to follow her life all this time. You too can name a calf by joining our naming program. This Christmas we have a special reduced rate. For more information write to us at: info@elephanttrust.org

A Gift that Lasts Forever

Wickstrom is one of our big males who sometimes likes to tower over our research vehicle to show us just how big he is. There are so few of these magnificent males left in Africa. To help us protect them you could designate the Amboseli Trust for Elephants as a beneficiary of your will or life insurance policy. To learn more about planned giving opportunities, please contact Betsy Swart: eswart@elephanttrust.org

iGive

Another way to support our work is by making your online purchases through iGive. If you sign up the Amboseli Trust for Elephants as your recipient, we will get a small percentage of the sale. www.igive.com

Craig Sculpture

There is still a chance to buy a gorgeous bronze sculpture of the spectacular and gentle Craig.

To honor our 50th anniversary internationally-acclaimed sculptor Bart Walter generously offered to sculpt an elephant to raise funds and celebrate our project. We chose Craig as the subject because he was born the year the study began.

There is a limited edition of 8. Bart will donate 50% of the proceeds from the acquisitions to ATE. The first 3 in the edition may be acquired for $10,000 each, the next 3 for $11,000 each, and the last 2 for $12,000 each. To take advantage of this unique opportunity to purchase one of these incredible sculptures in support of our work, contact Bart's studio:
