We wish you a happy & harmonious holiday  season!

At the Music School, our children are learning the invaluable life lessons of truly listening to one another, harmonizing with each other, seriously practicing, and erupting in joy and play that only happy children can do.
Each time our children sing they raise a sound that petitions peace, pursues friendship, and teaches all of us tolerance, understanding and kindness.
- Parent of a Purple Finches Youth Chorus member

This December on the stage of the Capitol Center for the Arts, the Purple Finches Youth Chorus raised their voices together in a spirited holiday performance.  As we celebrate another year of joyous musical friendships, breathtaking performances, and caring community,  we wish you a holiday season filled with  peace, friendship, & kindness.

2017 is a momentous year for 11 members of the Music School's Purple Finches Youth Chorus. Following a nationally competitive audition process, the students have earned places in the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE) National Conference Choirs.

Congratulations to  Jordan Cromwell of Concord; Madeline Decker of Epsom; Tessa Foley of Concord; Emily Gomez of Concord; Sophia Isaak of Durham; Rose Kosciuszek of Weare; Katie Mitchell of Durham; Tess Parrott of Rochester; Emma Richardson of Hopkinton; Amelia Smith of Bow; and William Veenstra of Canterbury.

"The National Choir experience helps the Purple Finches as a whole," says Purple Finches director Maria Isaak. "Kids come back with all kinds of confidence and leadership abilities, and they pay it forward to the whole group."

A home for excellence in music education.
