Moments That Mattered...

Hospice Hearts Monthly Giving Community: Monthly donors gathered at Rotary Hospice to connect, hear an update on their impact, and learn about Advance Care Planning. Read more about a monthly giving special opportunity below.

Goodbye to Co-op students Logan & Annika: High school students Logan and Annika finished up their time with us. Staff and volunteers were sad to see them go, and we wish them all the best! Read more below.

Family Feud Proceeds: We are deeply grateful to hospice volunteer Maureen and her family and friends for generously collecting donations at their first Family Feud game! Complete with the board and all the details, this fundraiser sounded like so much fun!

A Decadent Donation from Lucy's Cookie Co.: Staff were treated to two boxes of delicious chocolate chip cookies, generously donated by Lucy's Cookie Co (find her on Instagram!) They did not last long!

Flower Donations: We are always grateful to receive flower arrangements to brighten our hospice home. Please note: we cannot accept highly scented flowers.

Honouring Volunteer Contributions: Time was spent this month honouring the many ways volunteers supported our hospice community in 2025. We are so grateful to all of the individuals who give their time in such meaningful and generous ways.

A Tower of Blocks Tells a Story: A simple stack of children's building blocks, left behind in the Children & Family Room, tells the story of a young visitor finding space for play in our hospice home.

Every Month Counts: Thank you to two generous donors who each chose to pay for care for one resident room for the entire month of February. Our deep gratitude to Werner Walter and the Wicke Family, in memory of Lloyd Wicke.

Snow, Snow and more Snow! We don't know about you, but over here at Rotary Hospice, we got A LOT of snow in January! We are grateful to the staff and volunteers for helping to keep our walkways clear.

Hike for Hospice Planning: As we look forward to warmer months, planning begins for the 12th annual Hike for Hospice. Read more below.

😊Silly Joke of the Month:  Why did the snowman call his dog “Frost”?

Because Frost bites.

Love that Lasts: Monthly Giving Challenge with Quadro Communications Launching in February!

This February, we're excited to officially launch the 2nd annual Hospice Hearts Monthly Giving Challenge, powered by our friends at Quadro Communications. This campaign is an invitation to stand with Rotary Hospice in a deeply meaningful, ongoing way.

When you choose to give monthly, your generosity provides stability we can count on, especially as our needs continue to grow.

In the month of February, we invite you to join our Hospice Hearts Monthly Giving Community. Through the generosity of Quadro Communications, every new or increased monthly gift is matched up to $25,000, doubling the love and care you make possible.

Because choosing to support hospice care is choosing love, compassion, and presence.

Rotary Hospice High School Co-op Students: Thank you, Logan & Annika!

This month, we wrapped up a very special milestone at Rotary Hospice: our time with our high school co-op students, Logan and Annika.

Over their time with us, Logan and Annika brought curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to learn, supporting everything from day-to-day operations to special projects behind the scenes. Their contributions mattered deeply, and their presence reminded us how powerful it is to introduce young people to the values of care, service, and community.

We're so proud of all they accomplished and excited to see where their paths lead next.

Thank you, Logan and Annika, for bringing such maturity, compassion, and enthusiasm to your time with us. We are missing you both so much already!

Save the Date for Hike for Hospice!

As we look forward to sunshine and warmer weather, we are excited to start planning for the 12th annual Hike for Hospice!

This beloved annual fundraiser brings our community together to walk in support of compassionate end-of-life care and grief services. Whether you join us in person or hike on your own site with friends, family, or colleagues, every step helps ensure care remains available to those who need it most.

Online registration will launch early April, so stay tuned. For now, save the date and get ready to walk with us in June!

Our planning committee will re-group soon, and we're always looking to add new members. If you've ever considered joining, please reach out to lucie@rotaryhospice.ca to learn more.

One-on-One Grief Counselling at Rotary Hospice

We're here for you in your grief.

Rotary Hospice offers free, one-on-one grief counselling with a registered social worker for members of our community who have experienced the loss of a loved one. These sessions provide a safe, supportive space to process loss, ask questions, and find a steadier footing during a challenging time.

These services are open to everyone and provided at no cost, because compassionate support should be accessible to all.

If this support would be helpful, please reach out to erinm@rotaryhospice.ca or call 226-921-4202

Every Story Matters: Share Your Hospice Experience

Hospice care is more than medical support - it is comfort, compassion, and dignity at life's end. Everyone who walks through our doors has a unique story of love, loss, and the profound impact of hospice care. Your story matters.

Your story is also a powerful way to give back. Not everyone in our area understands the impact of hospice care. Whether it's a moment of kindness from a nurse, the comfort of a peaceful space, or the support you or your loved ones received, your words can offer reassurance, spread awareness, and inspire others to seek the care they need. By allowing us to share your story, you ensure that those in our community are aware of the options available to them.

If you are willing to share, we would love to hear from you.

Thank you for helping us spread the message that no one has to face end-of-life alone.
