To our IU Hillel students,
As some of you may be aware, I will be stepping down from my role as IU Hillel's Executive Director at the end of June. It has been my honor to serve this incredible organization and to get to know so many of you.
Over the past year and a half, I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the strength, resilience, and heart of this community. I have watched you show up for one another in moments of celebration and in moments of challenge, bringing compassion, courage, and tremendous pride in your Jewish identities. Together, we have celebrated holidays, gathered for Shabbat, deepened our learning, strengthened connections to Israel, and continued building a Jewish home on campus that is vibrant, joyful, and deeply meaningful. Even in the most complex of times, you have led with integrity and purpose, reminding me every day that the future of Jewish life is in extraordinary hands. Serving alongside you during this chapter has been one of the great honors of my professional life.
While my tenure will conclude at the end of June, I will remain fully engaged and committed in the months ahead. You are in very capable hands. IU Hillel’s Governing Board Chair, Michael Mervis, is working closely with the Governing Board, Hillel International, me, our amazing team of professionals, and community leaders from around Bloomington and Indianapolis to ensure students' needs continue to be met throughout this transition and beyond. With all of the right resources engaged and working in tandem, the future of IU Hillel remains as bright as ever.
Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure with me. I look forward to the months ahead, and I wish you joy, success, and meaning as you continue your Jewish journeys.
With gratitude,
