GET TO KNOW THE FALL 2023 GRANTEES

We are delighted to announce that we awarded grants to 140 girl-identifying youth this past week across 18 counties in Minnesota. Each grantee brings unique stories, dreams, experiences, and goals with excitement for the future. Among them are Natalie and Jocelyn (pictured) and:

TaShya (14) from Minneapolis dreams of traveling the world as an esthetician and running multiple business. Her grant will go toward expanding her small business, T’s Lip Gloss.

Opal (15) from Minneapolis will use their grant to participate in their school’s robotics team. They are proud to participate in a male-dominated field as a trans student.

Maria Ines (15) from Inver Grove Heights just recently moved to Minnesota and is excited to see snow for the first time. She will use her grant for skiing lessons to try a new sport and make the most of winter weather.

Please join us in extending a resounding applause to each and every girl who entrusted us with their aspirations.

Natalie, 15

With her grant, Natalie will buy art supplies for a new exhibition.

"I hope to use this experience to help me launch my own art business. I will be using the art produced from the activity to build my artist portfolio and to bring attention to my business.I hope my art will make more people smile and spark inspiration within them."

Jocelyn, 17

Jocelyn will use her grant to buy ski equipment.

"I have three big dreams, my first dream is to compete at the college level and be part of a college team. My second dream is to bring my knowledge back to the community by teaching children how to ski and see the program grow. Lastly, my third dream is to keep skiing as I age, and someday teach my children how to ski. "
