Dear Friends in Christ,

As a parish dedicated to welcoming all, serving those in need, caring for creation, and walking with one another on our journey of faith, we give thanks for the leadership and inspiration of Pope Francis. His words and witness will forever remind us that the Church is called to be a home of mercy, hope, and love—a community on mission, reaching out to meet people where they are.

Through his encyclicals and teachings, Pope Francis has guided us here at Saint Clement in living out our faith in concrete ways. Laudato Si’ has deepened our call to care for God’s creation, Fratelli Tutti has strengthened our commitment to solidarity and love for all, and Evangelii Gaudium has encouraged us to be a Church that yearns for a deeper relationship with Jesus and that joyfully proclaims the Gospel. His unwavering emphasis on mercy, compassion, and justice inspires us as we strive to be a reflection of Christ’s love in our world.

While we are deeply saddened by his passing, we are eternally grateful for Pope Francis’ service to the Church, his tireless witness to the Gospel, and his encouragement to embrace the joy and responsibility of our faith. May we continue to pray for the repose of his soul and for one another as we seek to follow Christ with open hearts and willing hands.

Please join us for a special Mass in remembrance of Pope Francis, held tonight (Monday, April 21, 2025) at 6:30 p.m. at Saint Clement Parish.

In gratitude and prayer,
