"Alan was a strongly devoted family man who loved his wife Louise (Lou) of more than 46 years. Alan felt that his children should have a loving, stable family environment and that they be able to stand on their own at age 18 and do whatever they wanted. Toward that end he had each of his kids join Boy Scouts so that they could have fun, spend time with their father, learn morals and learn to strive for a goal and achieve it. He was always having fun with his family and he built a successful business from scratch to serve people.
In addition to his wife Lou, he is survived by his sons Scott (43 in North Carolina), Steve (41 in Michigan) and Dan (38 in New York) and their 5 grandchildren (Joseph - 12, Audrey - 10, Jason - 10, Alex - 8 and Mae - 7)."
