De-Greening the Sanctuary
This Sunday, January 14, Before Worship
Calling First U Elves and Gnomes of all ages! We're hoping a few of you might be able to come a bit early for church this Sunday, January 14th to "de-green" the Sanctuary. The yule logs and candles could stay through January, but it would be nice for the Christmas trees and other decor to be packed up for a long winter's nap until next Winter Solstice. We believe the boxes and bags for our decorations may be in a closet but we're hoping one of you gnomes might know where they are. Blessings on your new year & thank you in advance.
Gather Dinner
Thursday, January 25, 5:30 pm & 7:30 pm seatings
Come enjoy scrumptious local food at a local restaurant with your local church friends! Check out Gather's dinner menu and join us for a drink or two, appetizers, dinner, or dessert. Sign-up online or in the Gathering Room at church.
Maine Farm Supper
Saturday, February 10, 5 - 7 PM
February 10th marks our 9th Maine Farm Supper, and we want YOU to get involved! Although the supper itself is an all-inclusive locally-sourced feast, it’s our wonderful First U community working together that MAKES the event. Seasoned volunteers can tell you that prepping and serving this meal together is loads of fun…a great way to connect with each other and meet new people. Keep February 9th and 10th open so you can join us, and watch for volunteer opportunities in upcoming issues of Channels, as well as downstairs at coffee hour.
Coffee Hour Hosting Calendar
Committees, councils, and groups at First U are signed up for a turn to host coffee hour. Mariana Tupper will be contacting your group a few weeks ahead of time with a reminder, but you can also view the schedule here.
