WOLFHOUND WEDNESDAY
August 10, 2022
Our school theme for the 2022 - 2023 school year is:
“Together as One: Serving our God, Our School and Our Community”
The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight our morning drop off and afternoon dismissal plans for the 2022 - 2023 school year. The morning drop off will begin at 7:45 am with cars following the pattern outlined on the map below. If you are in need of an early morning drop please consider using our morning latchkey program which opens at 7:00 am. Please contact Karol Halm, our director at mrs.halm@stbrigid-school,org.

We are pleased to announce that dismissal will be returning to just one session beginning at 2:55 pm in the Enke parking lot. Parents please park according to the map below (click the links below the maps for more detailed instructions). Students will be released to your cars and cars will be directed to leave once all children are safely in their car.
Just a reminder that our annual Back To School Uniform Exchange will take place this Sunday, August 14th. Please see the details below.  Several parents have inquired about the frequency of PE classes in order to know the number of PE uniforms to purchase. Each grade level will have PE 2 - 3 days per week for two quarters of the year. Please keep in mind that for grades K - 4 the PE uniform is optional.

Next week will be our full Back To School edition of the Wolfhound Wednesday with information regarding back to school forms, sign ups, Meet The Teacher and how to access homeroom assignments.

Looking forward to a great year working Together As One: Serving God, Our School and Our Community!

Summer blessings,
Kathy O’Reilly

2022-2023 School Lunch Update
During the last school year, children and families benefitted from no-cost school meals for all students, made possible by special permission from the United States Department of Agriculture. Unfortunately, these permissions have expired. St. Brigid of Kildare school and the Ohio Department of Education cannot extend the permissions for no-cost meals for all students.

School meals will still be available to all students; however, they will not be free to all students. Households may apply for free or reduced-price meal benefits by 09/20/2022. Applications are available on the school website here, as was done before the pandemic. Eligibility for free and reduced-price lunch is based on federal income guidelines or participation in other programs such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Ohio Works First. For additional information concerning the National School Lunch Program, please see the U.S. Department of Agriculture school lunch question and answer webpage.

2022-23 Lunch Cost
The cost of lunch is $3.00 and that includes milk. Individual milk is available for purchase for $0.50. Water is available for free in the cafeteria. All cafeteria items are peanut-free.

Breakfast Program
Breakfast items will be available for sale from 7:45 - 8:00 AM. Items will be sold for $0.75 each. The cost will be deducted from the student’s lunch account. All items will be peanut-free and will be convenient to eat.

For questions or additional information please contact Joyce Brown at 614-425-4822 or mrs.brown@stbrigid-school.org.

A Night Out to Strengthen Your Marriage

Saturday, August 27, 2022, 6:15 to 7:30 p.m.
Hendrick’s Hall – St. Brigid of Kildare Parish

All married and engaged couples are invited to St. Brigid’s 23rd Make It a Date!

It will be a flashback Saturday as we reminisce about how we first met our spouses and our first impressions of each other.

Parishioners Mark and Patsy Callahan will be our guides on this journey down memory lane. The Callahans have been married for 22 years and have 2 children.

Like always, we’ll have light appetizers and there will be a chance to catch up with old and new friends.

At the conclusion of the event, couples leave on their own date at a venue of their choice to talk about the evening and how it relates to their own relationships.

Please RSVP to Christine Drab at cadrab@gmail.com or 614-256-9065 by August 24.
