Wolfhound Wednesday - August 6, 2025 | | Our school theme for the 2025-26 year is "Rooted in Love, Beacons of Hope" | |
The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,
I hope your family has been enjoying the many blessings of summer and perhaps enjoyed the Irish Festival last weekend! We’ve spent the summer preparing for the upcoming school year and are thrilled to introduce this year’s theme: “Rooted in Love, Beacons of Hope.”
This theme is inspired by our mission to nurture the hearts, minds, and faith of every child, and reminds us that love is the foundation of all we do. Like strong roots that ground and nourish a tree, love anchors our school community in kindness, compassion, and faith. From that solid foundation, we are called to be beacons—shining lights of hope, joy, and inspiration in the lives of others. Together as staff, students, and families, we will grow deeper in love and shine brighter with hope throughout the year.
There have been many important changes made to the K-8 Parent-Student Handbook for the 2025-26 school year. Please closely review these changes at the summary of changes link below, and reference the full handbook to see the full implementation of these changes. These changes cover many important topics such as absences and tardiness, student conduct, acceptable water bottles, arrival and dismissal changes, and dress code.
A few of these important highlights include:
- Students may only bring a capped water bottle or one that has a foldable straw (see example photos in link below)
- No joggers may be worn as part of the PE Uniforms.

Our next issue of the Wolfhound Wednesday will be the full “Back To School” issue and will include staff updates, calendar reminders, and additional back to school information.
Wishing you a wonderful end to summer and a fantastic start to a year filled with love and hope.
Summer Blessings,
Kathy O'Reilly

Uniform & Spirit Wear Exchange Aug 10
Sunday, August 10, 10am-1pm
Shoppers, sign up here: Summer 2025 Uniform and Spirit Wear Exchange. This sign up contains more information about the exchange and signing up ensures you’ll receive a reminder to attend. Everything is FREE and you don’t need to donate to attend. New families are welcome to seek answers to uniform questions as they shop. If you need items, but can’t attend, let a friend shop for you!
Have items to donate? If you have gently used items for the uniform and spirit wear exchange you have a few options for drop-off:
1. At the school office June 2-6 or Aug 4-8 during school hours
- At a bin outside Erin Heise’s home at 6588 Wynwright Dr Dublin OH Aug 2-8
- Bring them with you to the exchange if the other options don't work for you, but please help us put them out.
- If you have a ripped jumper or logoed item, please still donate it as we can use it for spare parts (buttons, crest, elastic, etc.)! Similarly, if you have gym jackets without logos, we will try to find crests to add to them
-
Leftovers will be given to the Bishop Griffin Center.
Volunteer. Volunteers are needed to organize the exchange, help others find items, and to clean up and pack items for donation at the end of the exchange. If you can help, please sign up here: Summer 2025 Uniform and Spirit Wear Exchange Volunteer Sign Up
Questions? Email Erin Heise at erinjolene@hotmail.com or Gracie Dziewiatkowski at marygracedzski@gmail.com.
