Back to School

Dear Parents,

Click here for the article shared on Today Parents' Facebook page.
NBC's Today Parenting Team just shared an article written by children's author and school counselor Julia Cook, who recently visited with our children. The article describes what children today need most, and features a photo of our children from her recent visit to our school.   Click here to read the article.

Last week we celebrated the first week of Advent with our beautiful Lessons and Carols concert and the Watterson area band concert. Thank you to our 5th - 8th grade band and choir students for sharing their gifts of musical talent with our community.

Next week on Friday, December 21st we will end the day with a prayer service in the gym at 12:45 pm followed by early release at 1:30 pm.  Please join us as your schedule allows.

Thank you to 5th-8th grade families for participating in the Positive Perspectives sticky note project.  In our Think Tank we have a remarkable display of the positive strengths of our students! (The photo is in the header above).

Terra Nova results for students in grades 3-8 will be sent home in this week's Friday Folders.

May the blessings of Advent be yours,
Kathy O'Reilly

PARISH NEWS
SPICE Corks for a Cause
March 2, 2019

Corks for Cause wine tasting and silent auction is the parish's biggest event. All  proceeds benefit SPICE (Special People in Catholic Education). SPICE supports  the education of children with special learning needs in our parish and school. We
believe that each child in our parish is a child of God and possesses his or her own
unique spiritual and educational needs.

The event is planned by a committee. Being on the committee is a great way to get involved in the parish and meet new people. We will be holding the first committee meeting on Thursday, December 13th after 9:00 school Mass (about 9:45 am) in Hendricks Hall. Being a part of this event is a fun and fulfilling experience. If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Moore in the parish office at 614-761-3734 or at [email protected].

Sign up to be on the committee email list
