Girls Coding Club Tours Nationwide Technology
Our Girls Coding Club recently got to visit Nationwide Insurance on a Women in Technology tour. The girls had a lot of fun, learned about Nationwide Technology, and began to see themselves in technology.

Nationwide Insurance's Women in IT program has partnered with our Girls Coding Club to bring a real-world level to their projects and interests. We are a pilot program for them to see if it benefits young girls to have a corporate mentor/sponsor.

One or two people from Nationwide's Women in IT have attended our after school club to help with coding. They shared with the club where they went to school, college, what subjects they liked in grade school, and their college path that led them to their job. Some are coders and others are developers or project managers. It was a great experience for everyone to see that there are many jobs in technology beyond just coding.

At the end of the semester Nationwide had the girls come to their facilities for a tour, where they got to see the developers area and all the staff that is needed to make it happen. It was a great experience the girls really enjoyed!

Thanks Nationwide for this amazing experience!
