Dear Parents,
As we prepare to celebrate the Feast of Saint Nicholas, we are excited to share the wonderful plans we have for your children and our school community. This special day will focus on Saint Nicholas’ generosity and his love for children, while encouraging our students to embody these virtues through service and faith. Below are the details for the upcoming events.
Friday, December 6th – Feast of Saint Nicholas
- Saint Nicholas’ Arrival: Saint Nicholas will arrive at our school on horseback, a joyous start to the day!
- Service Projects: Students will work with their buddies on two meaningful service activities:
- Illuminite Project (Grades 3, 4, and 8):
- Led by the 8th Grade Leadership Committee

Supporting Illuminite, a Cincinnati-based organization, with a hands-on project.

Learn more at Illuminite.
- Stems for Seniors (8th Grade Faith and Service Committee and grades K,1,2,5, 6 and 7):
- Students will decorate flower pots and create poinsettia bouquets.
- These gifts will be delivered to the Dublin Retirement Community to “Spread Seeds of Hope”.
Monday, December 9th – Feast of the Immaculate Conception
- The entire school will attend 9:00 am Mass in celebration of this holy day.
- Please note that we will not attend the 9:00 am Mass on Thursday, December 12th.
Thursday, December 12th – “Green” Day Celebration

Students and staff may participate in a green dress-down day.

A special green lunch will be served.
-
A surprise green visitor will make an appearance to delight the students.
As part of our celebration of the holy season of Advent, we are pleased to share a special resource to help guide your family on this spiritual journey.
On Friday, your family will receive in the Friday Folder a booklet titled “Becoming Pilgrims of Hope.” This booklet contains daily reflections, practices, and prayers designed to enrich your Advent journey and bring deeper meaning to this season of preparation.
The opening page of the booklet explains the significance of the motto chosen by Pope Francis for the Holy Year 2025: “Pilgrims of Hope.” This theme serves as a reminder of the hope and joy that Christ brings to our lives, encouraging all of us to live with faith and purpose as we anticipate His coming.
We hope this booklet inspires meaningful moments of reflection and prayer for your family during this holy season.
May the blessings of Saint Nicholas and Saint Brigid be with you and your family during this holy season.

Lil Hounds Cheer Clinic
Join us for a Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Cheer Clinic!
Participants will enjoy learning SBK cheers and dances on Sun, Jan 12th, and will show off their skills at the 8th Grade Girls game on Sat, Jan 18th!

Gifts of Gratitude - Teacher & Staff Appreciation Gifts
Get ahead on your Christmas gift giving this year!
Make your life easier by checking one thing off your Christmas gift list! Donate to Gifts of Gratitude! Home & School has provided you with a convenient way to show your appreciation to the teachers and staff at St. Brigid during Christmas and at the end of the year.
What is it?
Gifts of gratitude was established by the Home and School Association as a united effort to provide a generous monetary gift to every school and parish teacher and staff member at Christmas and the end of the year to thank them for all they do for our children.
Why participate?
This is a convenient way for families to make sure that each teacher, aide, and staff member who touches your child’s life is recognized for all they do at St. Brigid. Instead of several small gifts from each student, each teacher and staff member will receive a monetary gift that they choose how to use–whether they want to splurge on themselves or help with their own family’s expenses.
Will my family be recognized for participating?
Yes — the teachers and staff will receive a list of families who participate in this program. You may also let the teachers and staff know that you participated in the program by marking “G.O.G” inside your Christmas card.
How much do I give?
The suggested annual gift amount is $25 per child once a year, however any given amount is graciously accepted!

Emmaus Road Scholarship - Tax Credit
Receive a tax credit on your Ohio taxes while helping a family receive a Catholic education. Through the Emmaus Road Scholarship Fund, Ohio taxpayers may donate to a K-12 Catholic school to be used for tuition scholarships based on financial need. The donor then receives a dollar-for-dollar non-refundable tax credit on their Ohio state tax return up to $750 ($1,500 if married and filing jointly).
This program helps make Catholic education accessible and affordable while giving donors the power to put their tax dollars to work to lead children to an encounter with Christ.

Rejoice! Advent Meditations with the Holy Family is a prayer resource with daily meditations that will enrich your Advent by inviting you to experience the first Advent with Joseph and Mary, as they await the birth of their son, the Savior of the world
Together with the guided meditation videos, this journal will help you to see the marriage of Mary and Joseph in a new light. You will ponder what was in their hearts and minds as they awaited the birth of Jesus—and you will be invited to reflect on and deepen your own relationships with others.
