The O'Reilly Minute

Dear Parents,

As a parish community, many meaningful Lenten activities are being offered this year. Please click here  Lent 2026 – St. Brigid of Kildare Church to learn more about the soup suppers, vespers, collection drives, penance services, and additional prayer opportunities.

I would especially like to highlight one of my personal favorites: Taizé Prayer. A Taizé Prayer Service will be held this Thursday, February 26, at 7:00 p.m. in the Church. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend a quiet hour together as a family in prayer, reflection, and music.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has contributed to preparing and supporting Corks for a Cause, which will take place on Saturday, March 7. The funds raised from this event directly support our incredible SPiCE program, benefiting many of our students’ individual learning and social-emotional needs. I am especially excited about this year’s “Night at the Masters” theme and the opportunity it provides to further support our children’s unique learning journeys.

Tuition Assistance & EdChoice Scholarship

The deadline to apply for tuition assistance for the 2026–27 school year is March 15, which falls during spring break. We are grateful to have additional funds available this year through the Emmaus Road SGO, and we strongly encourage any families in need of assistance to apply.

For full instructions on how to apply through FACTS, please see the details in the article below.

For the EdChoice full application and renewal instructions, view the EdChoice article below. Questions may be directed to edchoice@stbrigid-school.org or (614) 718-5825.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership in our school community.

Lenten blessings,

Kathy O’Reilly

Principal Search - Needs Assessment Survey

The process to find the next outstanding leader of St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic School has recently begun. A search committee composed of members of the parish and school community has been formed. However, the process cannot begin until this committee hears the input of the members of our parish and school community. Please plan to take a few minutes to complete a short survey that will allow the committee to conduct a needs assessment to determine the most meaningful and productive principal candidate profile and interview questions that will shape this process.

This survey will close February 25, 2026.

After-School Study Tables: 3rd Trimester Sign Up

Mondays & Wednesdays, 3:00 - 4:00 PM

Pickup @ 4:00 PM - Out Front

The purpose of the program is to provide students with an opportunity to work on their school assignments in a quiet, respectful and supportive study environment. This is not intended to be a tutoring program. However, students will receive help with homework, build study skills and learn to plan and manage their time. If a student is not able to work quietly and productively, he/she will not be allowed to attend study tables in the future.

After each Study Table, students will be escorted to the front of the building for pick up promptly at 4:00. Please be on time to pick up your child.

If you have any further questions, please contact Mr. O’Reilly at mr.oreilly@stbrigid-school.org

Purchase a SPICE Golf Ball - Sale End Friday 2/27

For $25, you can become a SPiCE Golf Star on the St. Brigid Masters Wall of Fame!

This is a fun way to support SPiCE and celebrate your family at the same time! For each golf ball purchased, your family name will be proudly displayed on a golf ball on our "Masters Wall of Fame" at the event. Come find your family ball on March 7, snap a selfie beside it, and take it home as a special keepsake!
