Dear Parents,
Thank you for celebrating Catholic Schools Week with us! It has truly been a wonderful week of celebration and service. Our students have enjoyed playing Catholic Schools Week Bingo each morning, celebrating with their favorite school lunch, participating in service opportunities, and are looking forward to sharing their academic progress during conferences.
This weekend, students are invited to wear their school uniforms or church-appropriate spirit wear to Mass to show their school pride to our parish community. Several families will also be distributing student-made St. Brigid prayer cards before and after Mass.
Student-Led Conferences continue today and tomorrow, along with our bake sale, book fair, and spirit wear sale. If you were scheduled to attend conferences last Wednesday, your conference will take place at the same time this Wednesday; the same applies for Thursday. We look forward to seeing you as we celebrate student learning together.
Our St. Valentine’s parties and the 8th Grade vs. Faculty basketball game will be held on Friday, February 13. Students with allergies to the iced cookie being provided are asked to bring an appropriate treat from home. Our school nurse, Monica Rodenberg, will be in contact with families regarding allergies. Students and staff are invited to enjoy a dress-down day by wearing Valentine colors, St. Brigid colors, or school spirit wear—your choice!

8th Grade Bake Sale at Student-Led Conferences
From the Eighth Grade Social Committee:
The Eighth Grade Social Committee is having a Bake Sale fundraiser for their trip to Washington DC. It will be open the nights of Student Led Conferences on February 4th and 5th. A portion of the profits will go to charity. The bake sale will be in between the Think Tank and the Sun Room next to the library, and near the Book Sale. We can only accept cash payments at this time. Thank you for your support!

Hounds Hoopla: This Friday!
Hounds Hoopla is this Friday, February 6th from 6-8PM at St. Brigid.
Join us for Bingo, a DJ glow dance party, crafts, face painting, a magician, a photo booth and fun! Pizza, snacks and drinks included. Entry is $35 per family. The registration link and volunteer sign up are below.
Please note for planning purposes, this event is not a drop-off. To ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment, children may attend only with a supervising adult present throughout the event.
Donations Needed
Donations are needed for Bingo prizes. A donation box will be in the main office area outside the nurse's office. Great donation item ideas include gift cards for the older kids in the $10-20 amount, crafts, stuffed animals, games, sports equipment like soccer balls, plastic bats and balls, little kids ball gloves, nail polish, hair accessories.
Anything new, unopened or in like new condition we would look forward to having on the prize table.

Author Signing Books at St. Brigid Next Tuesday!
Award winning middle grade author Margaret Peterson Haddix will be speaking to grades 5-8 next Tuesday Feb 10th. Ms.Haddix has written over 50 books that range from Sci-Fi, to Mystery, to Fantasy. She will not be selling books here at school, but she will sign books that the students already own. Consider spending some time at our brand new Dublin Barnes and Noble, or Cover to Cover Bookstore in Upper Arlington... both stores have a great selection of Haddix books! Amazon is also a good option!

Tuition Assistance Application Deadline March 15
The application to receive tuition assistance for the 2026-27 school year is now open, with a deadline of March 15, 2026.
The FACTS Grant & Aid application is an income-only application, meaning you only need to submit the following information to apply:
- Federal tax return for the most recent tax year
- Most recent W-2(s)
- Any other sources of income and amounts
This one application makes you eligible to receive tuition assistance dollars from one or more of the following pools of funding:
- Emmaus Road Scholarship Fund
- Diocesan Tuition Assistance
- TACT (Teacher) Tuition Assistance
(Please note St. Brigid Donor Scholarships and Oak Society Grants require a separate application in the spring).

EdChoice Renewal and New Applicants Due March 31
Families seeking any tuition assistance for the 2026–27 school year are asked to apply for the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship. This helps St. Brigid of Kildare School maximize scholarship and aid support for our families.
Renewing families and new applicants (including incoming kindergarten students) must submit required materials by March 31 to be considered for additional tuition assistance. Families receiving the Jon Peterson Scholarship should continue applying through that program.

Spring Sports Registration Deadline Feb 20
Families wanting to register their student-athlete for a spring sport at St. Brigid can use the attached link. As a reminder, the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is now administering the registration for all recognized sports.
Spring sports include:
- CYO Coach-Pitch (2nd-3rd grade)
- CYO Softball (4th-8th grade)
- CYO Baseball (4th-8th grade)
- CYO Track (4th-8th grade)

Screenagers - Presented by PERC Dublin
This award-winning documentary probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games, and academics. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world.
The film will be shown in the Lecture Hall on the second floor of Emerald Campus at 7:00. Doors open at 6:30pm each night.
