Dear Parents,
We have had a great beginning to Catholic Schools Week with Station14 and ten of our Watterson alumni leading us in Worship and Praise on Monday morning. On Tuesday we celebrated discipleship as we learned about the service work that is taking place at Hope Hollow! You will be learning more about Hope Hollow in a letter in this week’s Friday folder. Today and tonight we continue the celebration with student led conferences. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate your children’s strengths and to set goals for next quarter. The students have also taken this opportunity to show their gratitude by writing thank you notes to their parents for the amazing gift of a Catholic education.
It is important for our children to realize that having the opportunity to attend St. Brigid School is truly a gift from their parents to help ensure that they live a faith-filled life. Today I received in my inbox the following link to a blog from the McGrath Institute for Church Life. Please take an extra minute to read this reflection:
The Gift of Catholic Education.
To conclude our week there will be no school Mass on Thursday, but we will celebrate the February 1st Patronal Feast of St. Brigid on Friday. Please join us for 9:00 am Mass including our favorite Saint Brigid hymns and the Irish Blessing song.
Thank you for celebrating Catholic Schools Week and the Feast of Saint Brigid with us this week!
May St. Brigid continue to bless you and your family.
Sincerely,
Kathy O'Reilly
