Dear Parents,

Friday we celebrate the feast day of Saint Brigid.  The day will begin with 9:00 a.m. Mass including our favorite Saint Brigid hymns and the Irish Blessing song.  To make the feast day Mass even more special several of our students will be playing musical instruments and our choir for this Mass has prepared a special song.  Our day concludes with festive parties planned by our room parents.  If you would like to learn more about the life of our Saint Brigid, EWTN Global Catholic Network will be airing a special The Story of St. Brigid of Ireland on Thursday and Friday.

Click here to learn more and see the preview of the video.

Thank you for celebrating Catholic Schools Week and the Feast of Saint Brigid with us this week!

May the blessings of St. Brigid guide you each day,
Kathy O'Reilly

Call to Resilient Faith: Raising Strong Children, by Fr. Mike Schmitz

Fr. Mike Schmitz, the director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Duluth, Minnesota and the Chaplain for the Newman Center at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, gave an amazing talk about raising strong children, "Zamboni parenting," and facing our sufferings in life.

He presented  this talk at the 2019 Fellowship of Catholic University Students' (FOCUS) SEEK Conference.

Through his impeccable storytelling, he explains how facing our difficulties makes us stronger Catholics -- how embracing the harsh realities of life makes us saints.
