WOLFHOUND WEDNESDAY
July 27, 2022
We hope you're all enjoying a wonderful and restful summer!
The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,

Our school theme for the 2022 - 2023 school year is “Together as One: Serving our God, Our School and Our Community.” At this unique time in the history of our school, let us focus on the importance of Catholic community and all that comes with it. In the context of community, the transmission of our faith and culture takes place by sharing Catholic values, beliefs and practices which are critical in the formation of our students. The last two years have been challenging and isolating at times. We are more than ready to keep moving forward with joy and hope knowing that as Catholics and Christians there is a purpose and a value in what we do each day. Working together as parents and school staff, forming ONE community focused on serving God and each other, we place importance on intentionally developing our children’s hearts, minds and souls. Our school staff is looking forward to partnering with you this year to serve our God, our school, and our community.

We begin this year with a “Meet The Teacher” on Monday, August 22nd from 4:00 - 6:00 pm hosted by our Home and School and our School Advisory Committee. This event will be outdoors behind the school. Families will be invited to visit classrooms to “Meet The Teacher” and then spend time outdoors visiting information tables and enjoying treats. Come in the front doors, stop by the Home and School table, pick up your treat tickets, and proceed to meet your teacher. Then go outside for the welcome back party. Preschool students will have a separate meet the teacher playdate. Information about this event will be sent to preschool parents via email.

FACTS: Web Forms & Teacher Assignment
All students in preschool through grade 8 will be using FACTS to complete their back to school Web Forms again this school year. These forms will be available beginning Monday, August 22nd. Upon login, you will be prompted to complete your Web Forms packet. Then you will be taken to your home screen where you will be able to see your child’s teacher assignment.

On Tuesday, August 23rd, you will receive an email asking you to complete your child’s transportation form. This must be completed prior to the first day of school. Please watch for this email.

If you do not have a FACTS log in please follow the directions attached. There is also a video tutorial linked in the document below. If you have problems or questions, please contact Kerinan Jordan at mrs.jordan@stbrigid-school.org

Make It A Date - Aug 27
A Night Out to Strengthen Your Marriage

Saturday, August 27, 2022, 6:15 to 7:30 p.m.
Hendrick’s Hall – St. Brigid of Kildare Parish

All married and engaged couples are invited to St. Brigid’s 23rd Make It a Date!

It will be a flashback Saturday as we reminisce about how we first met our spouses and our first impressions of each other.

Parishioners Mark and Patsy Callahan will be our guides on this journey down memory lane. The Callahans have been married for 22 years and have 2 children.

Like always, we’ll have light appetizers and there will be a chance to catch up with old and new friends.

At the conclusion of the event, couples leave on their own date at a venue of their choice to talk about the evening and how it relates to their own relationships.

Please RSVP to Christine Drab at cadrab@gmail.com or 614-256-9065 by August 24.
