Dear St. Brigid of Kildare Parents, 

I pray you and your family have had a restful and joy-filled summer! We have been hard at work, preparing for what we know will be a wonderful 2026-2027 school year. I am happy to share a few staffing updates, as well as some important dates and information as we head into the next school year. 

First, I want to share how grateful I am to both Mr. Chris Mazon and Mrs. Mackenzie Veeder for accepting the role of Vice Principal. Both have stepped up in tremendous ways, particularly as we navigate the transition in administration. Their support and hard work have been immensely helpful and I am very confident in our strengths and ability to lead together. More information will be shared soon, with our individual responsibilities, so you, as parents know who to contact with questions!

Next, please join me in welcoming new (and returning) teachers to St. Brigid! I feel grateful to work alongside a humble, hard-working and faith-filled staff. Please take a moment to read their biographies below and welcome:

Finally, I want to share my deepest appreciation for the overwhelming support and warm welcome I have received over the last several weeks since officially beginning in this role. Thank you for the kind emails, encouraging words and most importantly, your prayers. I would be remiss not to offer my heartfelt thanks to Kathy O’Reilly for her graciousness and generosity during this transition. She has been nothing short of amazing. 

We are excited to welcome our 1st - 8th Grade students and families for Meet the Teacher on Tuesday, August 18th from 4-6. More information about this special tradition will be shared soon! I pray your final weeks of summer are spent finding rest and joy with your family and friends. I look forward to meeting you soon and for the opportunity to serve the St Brigid of Kildare community.

Welcome Mrs. Karen DeLucia!

5th Grade Religion, 5/6th Grade Social Studies

Hello! My name is Karen DeLucia, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I have been teaching for 16 years, including 14 years at Saint Brigid, and I truly couldn’t be happier to be back. I am also a proud alumni of this school and feel so blessed to have been given the opportunity to return as a teacher. Having been in the role of being a student, parent, and teacher has allowed me to see, in different perspectives, just how special of a place this school truly is. St. Brigid has always felt like home, and I’m grateful to once again be part of this amazing community.

I live in Dublin with my husband, Brian, and our three children: Jack, who is in third grade; Lily, who is in second grade; and Charlie, who is in preschool. Our family also includes Winston, our 15 year old Morkie. 

When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family, cheering my kids on at their activities, and making memories together. As both a teacher and a parent, I know how important it is for children to feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school each day. My main goal is to create a classroom where every student feels valued, challenged, and encouraged to do their very best.

I am looking forward to getting to know each of your children and partnering with your family to make this a fun, meaningful, and successful school year. I can’t wait to see all that we accomplish together!

Welcome Mrs. Kelly Walker!

3rd Grade



Greetings St. Brigid Families,

My name is Kelly Walker and I am thrilled to serve as your child’s third-grade teacher for the upcoming school year. As many of you know, I have worked for the past 3 years in the position of second-grade paraprofessional with Mrs. Starkey as lead teacher. I enjoyed that position so much that I was inspired to complete my Master’s of Education degree over the 2025-2026 school year, just in time to be ready to lead our 2026-2027 classroom. I have enjoyed the many privileges and gifts of a Catholic school education in my own life as well as prioritizing the same for my son, Henry. He will be beginning his senior year at St. Charles Preparatory School in just a few short weeks. My husband, Michael and I are both deeply grateful for the solid academic, personal and spiritual foundation our son’s Catholic education has afforded him. Now, I am excited to begin this year with the staff, faculty and families of St. B’s, working in partnership, with the goal of your child’s growth, development and joy as our guiding principles.

Welcome Mr. Jeff Sulitis!

6th Grade Religion, 5/6th Grade Math

I am thankful to be joining St. Brigid Catholic School staff, students, and families. It takes a village to raise a child and St. Brigid appears to be a great part of that village for many families within the Dublin area. I try to live by these priorities: faith, family, work, and self. Getting myself and others to heaven is the most important priority, but who knows where that path is

going to lead here on earth. My marriage to Kate and then raising our children is next on the priority list. Kate and I have been married for 23 years and have four children (Korbin - 19, Leah– 18, Ella – 15, and Kyle – 8). There are many blessings and many stories involving my marriage and raising our children but I wouldn’t know where to start. Work is third on the list and I previously lived in Petoskey, MI and worked at St. Francis Catholic School for over fifteen years. Along with teaching, I have also coached various sports from youth to high school. As for my final priority I enjoy working out, golf, and hanging with the family. There are many layers to all of my priorities but that is the foundation of who I am and I am looking forward to meeting my new colleagues and learning about their stories.

Hi! My name is Mia Khayyat and I am thrilled to be joining the kindergarten team this year. I am a graduate of the University of Dayton with a degree in Early Childhood Education. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, trying new coffee shops, and traveling. I am very passionate about creating a classroom where every student feels loved and excited to learn new things. I cannot wait to get to know the St. Brigid school community and have a fun and memorable year together.

Meet the Teacher - Tues, Aug 18

 We begin this year with a “Meet The Teacher” on Tuesday, August 18th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm hosted by our Home and School and our School Advisory Committees. This event will be outdoors behind the school. Families are invited to visit classrooms to “Meet The Teacher” and then spend time visiting information tables and sharing treats with friends. Enter through the front doors, stop by the Home and School table and proceed to your classroom. Then go outside for the welcome back party. Preschool students will have a separate meet the teacher playdate. Information about this event will be sent to preschool parents via email. Kindergarten families attend WOW Day as a separate meet the teacher event.

Home & School Spirit Wear Sale at Meet the Teacher 

Both of our spirit wear vendors will be at Meet the Teacher this year. Morganheimer/Premier and Rah Rah will each have limited inventory to purchase that evening.

Welcome Back from Home & School!

Now that summer is over, do you have time and would like to be more involved in school? The first Home and School meeting for the year is September 3 at 12:15 in Hendricks Hall, and we would love to see you there! Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be a committee member to attend Home and School meetings. 

Meetings occur on the first Thursday of the month. 

Home and School is a great way to get involved. As the year gets started we are actively sponsoring and organizing Meet the Teacher, the New Family Welcome breakfast and School Supplies. We will host a fall get together in the coming weeks. 

Get a head start and take care of your Annual Fund donation today! You can support Home and School financially by donating to the Annual Fund here. As a reminder, the recommended contribution is $125/ student. The Annual Fund allows us to host fun events for kids and families, as well as provide busing and funding for field trips, Hounds Hoopla and Super Games, without asking you to participate in fundraisers throughout the year.

Fitness Challengers: Free Ohio State Fair Admission

Students in grades 3-8 who earned a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Certificate in the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge this past spring are eligible for one free admission to the 2026 Ohio State Fair, taking place July 29–August 9.

To redeem the offer, students simply need to present their original Team Tressel Fitness Challenge certificate at an Ohio State Fair ticket window. The certificate will be used to issue one free admission ticket and does not need to be surrendered. This offer is valid for one redemption per person during the 2026 Ohio State Fair and cannot be combined with other offers.

Summer Learning Packet

Summer reading and activities are an important way to ensure children are ready for the next school year and don't experience the "summer slide" loss of learning. Teachers have prepared one Slide Deck that includes activities for each grade level to work on over the summer months. These activities are all strongly encouraged to ensure readiness for the next school year. Check the Slide Deck Index for any required components.

Semi-Annual Uniform and Spirit Wear Exchange Aug 9 10am-1pm

Shoppers, sign up here to receive reminders and updates: Summer 2026 Uniform and Spirit Wear Exchange. This sign up contains more information about the exchange and signing up ensures you’ll receive a reminder to attend. Everything is FREE and you don’t need to donate to attend. New families are welcome to seek answers to uniform questions as they shop. If you need items, but can’t attend, let a friend shop for you! 

Have items to donate? If you have gently used items for the uniform and spirit wear exchange you have a few options for drop-off:

1. At the school office June 1-5 or Aug 3-7 during school hours
2. At a bin outside Theresa White’s home at 5882 Vandeleur Place, Dublin, OH Aug 1-7
3. Bring them with you to the exchange if the other options don't work for you, but please help us put them out.
4. If you have a ripped jumper or logoed item, please still donate it as we can use it for spare parts (buttons, crest, elastic, etc.)! Similarly, if you have gym jackets without logos, we will try to find crests to add to them
5. Non-logo leftovers will be given to the Bishop Griffin Center.

The transportation departments from Dublin, Hilliard and Olentangy schools require all new and returning families to register your students for busing this fall. If you are a new family moving to the area, and don't know your new address yet, please contact them as soon as you have this information.

Olentangy Schools Requests:

• All Non-Public parents (new or returning) must fill out this online form by June 20, 2026.



Dublin Schools Requests:

• All Non-Public parents (new or returning) please complete this form by June 17, 2026.

Hilliard School Requests:

• All Non-Public parents (new or returning) please complete this form by July 31, 2026.
