The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,

Our final day for the 2020 - 2021 school year was truly memorable. We began the day with the entire student body attending the Leadership Mass and the day with a school family picnic complete with bubble wands for everyone (including Msgr. Hendricks)! It was a day of great joy and celebration. Please take a few minutes and enjoy the photos in the album below.

At this time a few additional staff announcements are now known for the 2021-2022 school year.
  • We welcome Ms. Brittany Katona to our kindergarten team. Ms. Katona is a recent graduate from Otterbein University with a degree in Early Childhood education. Brittany expressed that she feels called to teaching not just about academics, but more importantly about how to be a disciple for Christ.
  • Ms. Jane Borgmenke has announced that she will be leaving teaching at the end of this year and moving to New York to embark on a new career path. Best wishes to her as she begins a new phase of her career journey.
  • Mrs. Julie Boyles will be joining the 1st and 2nd grade team next year and will be teaching 2nd grade. Julie is especially excited to be preparing students for First Penance and First Eucharist.

Please remember the deadline to order School Supply Kits is next Tuesday, June 15. See the article below for ordering details.

Please watch for an email announcing that your child’s report cards are ready to view.

We have prayed, we have studied, and we have played, and now it is time to take our summer break to renew, refresh and prepare for the 2021 - 2022 school year.

Thank you for a great year and on behalf of the entire school faculty and staff we wish you a restful, prayerful and fun-filled summer.

Summer Blessings,
Kathy O'Reilly
Photos: End of Year Celebrations
Last week we had a beautiful close to the school year with our traditional Leadership Mass -- the first time our whole school was together in-person this school year. The eighth-grade students lit their "candle" and passed it on to the seventh graders as the next leaders of our school. Faculty and staff were honored for their years of service to the school, including a special recognition for Mrs. Cindy Lombardo for her 25 years of service to this school! The day concluded with an outdoor picnic lunch and bubble party.

Updated Summer Protocols from Diocese of Columbus
At the link below is a letter from Superintendent Adam Dufault regarding guidance for school activities conducted during June (following the last day of school) and July of 2021.

This new guidance pertains to school-sanctioned summer activities only, such as camps, summer classes, athletic practices, and other enrichment activities. Reflecting the increase in the vaccinated
population, the low risk of infection in children, and the rapidly falling case numbers in Ohio, these protocols are a shift toward a surveillance methodology, similar to what we use for other infectious diseases such as the flu.

Summer activities are distinctly different than educational activities during the school year. All
summer programs are optional and participation is voluntary. Unlike during the school year, a nurse or medical professional is not required to be present or available.

Click the link below to read the rest of the letter and the indoor and outdoor protocols.
