WOLFHOUND WEDNESDAY
March 9, 2022
Last week our fourth graders celebrated Ohio's 219th birthday with Ohio-themed activities in each subject -- a code breaker puzzle in Math, an ABCs of Ohio booklet for Social Studies, a reading packet for ELA, and an opinion writing piece. They had a lot of fun!
The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,

With the current cold weather, it is hard to believe that spring break is fast approaching. This break gives us all time to relax and refresh and take a break from the fast paced schedule of the school year. This break also allows for extra time for students to engage in social media and technology. The opportunities that these tools offer are amazing, they have given us so many advancements and wonderful resources; however they come with great responsibility. Please take a look at the great article below titled “The 12 Most Dangerous Apps For Kids: A Parent’s Guide”. The article was provided by “BARK” which is a software application we use to monitor our students’ internet activity while using their Saint Brigid issued email accounts.

The deadline for submitting applications for Diocesan and St. Brigid tuition assistance is March 15th. The deadline is during spring break, so you may want to submit your application this week. See details below.

We are very excited to announce that this year’s Corks for a Cause event will be in-person. Tickets will go on sale this Thursday, March 10 beginning at 9 AM at the auction website corks22.givesmart.com. See below for more info about this event.

Lenten blessings,
Kathy O’Reilly

P.S. There will be a menu change for Friday -- we will have bagel, macaroni & cheese, celery, kiwi, and pudding.

Our School Annual Fund Update
The St. Brigid of Kildare Annual Fund is the way our Home and School Committee is able to provide all the extras that make the St. Brigid experience special for our children, teachers and staff. The Valentine's Day parties and field trips like Biz Town are just a few of the fun projects the Annual Fund pays for during the school year.

This school year, we have raised $40,660 from 229 families! Our goal is $45,000 which is what the Home & School committee needs to fund their activities.

We are so close -- if you have not donated, please consider giving to the Annual Fund so we can continue to provide the best experience for your children. Thank you to everyone that has supported this important program!
