The O'Reilly Minute

Dear Parents,

I would like to personally invite you to join us on March 12th at 6:00 pm for an evening with Dr. Benjamin Fields, a respected expert in child behavior and family support. This special opportunity is part of our Rooted in Respect program. Dr. Fields has already worked with our faculty and staff and was very well received for his practical, easy-to-implement strategies for supporting children in today’s complex world. Whether you are navigating morning routines, homework challenges, sibling conflicts, or simply hoping to strengthen communication with your child, Dr. Fields’ insights will help your family thrive.

I feel strongly about our school community coming together to reflect on the importance of building healthy habits, consistent routines, and strong relationships that help every child flourish. To encourage your participation, each child in your family will receive a dress-down day pass to use on a day of his or her choice if you attend. Please join us and RSVP using the link in the article below.

Tuition Assistance & EdChoice Scholarship – Apply by March 15

The March 15th deadline is fast approaching to apply for tuition assistance for the 2026-27 school year. We have additional funds available this year from the Emmaus Road SGO funds, so we strongly encourage any families in need of assistance to apply.

For full instructions on how to apply through FACTS, please see the details below.

In closing, I would like to offer this beautiful Lenten prayer for your family. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in our school community.

Lenten Blessings,

Kathy O’Reilly

Lenten Prayer for Our Parent Community

Almighty God, as we enter this sacred season of Lent, we come before You with grateful and humble hearts. In this time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, draw our families closer to You and to one another. Fill our homes with Your mercy, peace, and grace.

Lord Jesus, You are the Light of the world. As parents, we are the first teachers of our children in faith and love. Help us to be beacons of hope within our homes — modeling forgiveness, patience, kindness, and compassion. Strengthen us in our daily responsibilities, and guide us as we nurture our children’s hearts, minds, and spirits.

Holy Spirit, be our wisdom and our strength. When challenges arise, grant us calm and understanding. When we feel weary, renew our joy. Inspire us to create homes where faith is lived, love is spoken freely, and each child feels valued and supported.

We pray for our school community, for our teachers and staff, and for all the families who walk this journey together. May this Lenten season deepen our trust in You and unite us in our shared mission to raise children rooted in love and grounded in faith.

We ask this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Join Us for a Parent Evening with Dr. Benjamin Fields:

Building Effective Behavior Strategies at Home

When talking with Dr. Fields about his upcoming visit, he shared a few key takeaways parents can expect from the evening. He will help us better understand the “why” behind children’s behaviors, offer practical strategies for responding in effective ways, and provide tools to support emotional regulation and healthy decision-making at home.

We are grateful for the opportunity to learn from his expertise and look forward to having you join us for what promises to be a helpful and encouraging night together.

“Behavioral issues (e.g., noncompliance, arguing, tantrums) are a normal part of development. Even typically “well-behaved” children are noncompliant approximately 30 percent of the time!”

“Research-supported therapy for these concerns focuses on equipping parents with strategies to create new patterns of behavior, and the same strategies are key, whether you are addressing “normal” misbehavior or much more severe behavior.”

“On March 12, we’ll talk about evidence-based strategies to make sure you are getting maximum return on the energy you are already putting into parenting your children.”

We Hope to See You There!

Please join us and RSVP for this thoughtful, supportive, and informative evening designed just for our parent community. Together, we can build habits, routines, and relationships that help every child flourish—at school and at home.

Ski Club Season Concludes

We wrapped up another fantastic Ski Club season with our final trip to Mad River Mountain! Throughout the winter, dozens of students participated in our weekly outings, building skills on the slopes and making great memories together.

From first-time skiers learning the basics to experienced riders sharpening their technique, it was a season filled with fun, growth, and plenty of snow-filled adventure. We’re grateful for the enthusiasm of our students and the support that made this season such a success. We’re already looking forward to hitting the slopes again next year!

Congrats Swimmers!
