The O'Reilly Minute

Dear Parents,

As Thanksgiving approaches, we will come together as a school family for Mass on Tuesday, November 26th, at 9:00 a.m. to praise the Lord and thank Him for our many blessings. We invite you to join us if your schedule allows.

Following Mass, students will enjoy our annual Thanksgiving Feast during their regularly scheduled lunch periods. A cherished tradition, our 8th-grade students will serve the delicious turkey meal, creating a joyful experience for both the older and younger students.

You may have heard about the Emmaus Road Scholarship Fund, which was announced at Mass this past weekend. We are excited to once again participate in this Ohio tax credit program, which provides need-based scholarships to our families. The program has already significantly benefited many of our school families. Please see the details below and consider making a donation today. We encourage you to share this opportunity with family, friends, and neighbors as well—it’s an easy way to support our school while receiving a tax credit.

In this season of gratitude, one of the things I am most thankful for is our SPICE program. This initiative allows us to raise awareness about learning differences and to serve the individual needs of many children in our school and parish. This month, our students will be learning about dyslexia (see details below) and will participate in a red dress-down day on November 22 in support of this effort.

Wishing you and your family abundant blessings this autumn,

Kathy O'Reilly

Quarters for Carolina Collection Update

Four weeks ago, the 8th Grade Faith and Service committee asked for your help in collecting quarters for hurricane victims in North Carolina. We are proud to say that we have raised $923 dollars to support this community!

The Faith and Service Committee have chosen ten local organizations that will each receive a Lowe’s gift card to help rebuild what was destroyed in the hurricane. We couldn’t have done this without all the help from the families of Saint Brigid! Thank you so much for your generosity!

After School Study Tables - Going Strong!

Open Now to All 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Graders

November and December Sign Up Available

Saint Brigid of Kildare School’s After School Study Table program has been running strong for the past couple months. It is now available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 4:00 PM for all 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders.

The purpose of the program is to provide students with an opportunity to work on their school assignments in a quiet and supportive study environment. This is not intended to be a tutoring program. However, students will receive help with homework, build study skills and learn to plan and manage their time.

Mr. O’Reilly, along with one or two other teachers, will be monitoring students during this time. You are asked to sign up to help coordinate staffing.

To sign up for November and December dates, click here:

We are excited to continue this opportunity to help students at St. Brigid continue on the path to success!

If you have any further questions, please contact Mr. O’Reilly at mr.oreilly@stbrigid-school.org. You can also email Mr. O'Reilly anytime to sign up for a study table time.
