The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,
As we enter the month of November, we take time as a school community to honor and celebrate two very special groups of people — the saints who inspire our faith and the veterans who have served our country.
We began the month with the celebration of All Saints Day, remembering the holy men and women who show us how to live lives of faith, hope, and love. Throughout the month, students will continue to learn about saints who serve as role models for courage, compassion, and commitment to God. This week we will begin our school Mass with a 1st and 2nd grade procession of saints.
Next week, we will also pause to give thanks for the veterans in our community. Their service and sacrifice remind us of the values of dedication, freedom, and peace. Our Veterans Day activities will help students express gratitude and respect for those who have served in the Armed Forces.
We are honored to invite you to our upcoming St. Brigid’s Veteran’s Day Celebration, which will take place on Tuesday, November 11th. Please join us if your schedule allows, and feel free to invite your loved ones who are veterans to share in this special celebration with us. Today at Noon will be your last opportunity to register to attend our assembly or to fill out the form for us to recognize a family or friend who is a veteran. These forms can be found in your student’s Friday folder.
November offers us the opportunity to reflect on both faith and service — two qualities that lie at the heart of our mission. We are grateful for your continued support as we help our students grow into compassionate, faith-filled citizens.
With gratitude,
Kathy O'Reilly

The Annual Fund Eliminates Fundraising
Remember these fundraisers?
This is how many schools raise money to fund all the programs, enhancements, celebrations, teacher support and appreciation that our Home and School plans throughout the year. The Annual Fund program started over 25 years ago to eliminate these labor-intensive fundraising events. These fundraisers only give back around 15%- 20% of the money they collect to the school. Family and friends felt pressured to buy items they did not need and there was a possibility of putting our children into unsafe situations while selling items door to door.
These are just a few reasons why we have the Annual Fund. 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to school projects and activities that enrich the learning experience for your children. If you would like to share this link with family and friends, they have the opportunity to support your children without having to buy anything and know that their donation is not only tax-deductible, but every dollar goes to St. Brigid of Kildare.
Please consider a once-a-year contribution of $125 per student ($50 for preschool).
Please click the below arrow to give to the Annual Fund, and/or forward this email to a family member or friend who may be interested in contributing.
| | Thank you to our many families who have already supported the 2025-26 Annual Fund (as of November 3, 2025). | |
