Our first grade students made a “strong” house to withstand the wind during their study of properties of materials. | |
Dear Parents,
The month of October has been filled with many fun activities. Athletic events, the upcoming Barn Bash and Fall Festival parties, pumpkin patches, and field trips are just a few of the fun fall opportunities we are enjoying. During the next several weeks we also have a few great service opportunities. Please check out the article below for details regarding Basement Blessings and this organization’s need for cold weather clothing. This is a great opportunity to clean out your closets and share your gently used coats, mittens, etc. with those in need. Also, our 8th grade Service Team is planning a service opportunity to help support students at St. Andrew School in Cape Coral, Florida. Our 8th grade students will be promoting opportunities for our students P - 8 to donate 25 cents on the 25th! Students will be encouraged to earn quarters by participating in service work this weekend or perhaps sharing some of their own piggy bank quarters to help with the Florida Hurricane Recovery Efforts.
Thank you for working Together as One: Serving God, Our School and Our Community,
Kathy O’Reilly

October is Respect Life Month |
October is Respect Life Month. When we talk about respecting life, we see the full picture of human life – from womb to natural death. This October, we are inviting two local organizations to speak on how their organizations serve to respect life in unique and invaluable ways and how you can become part of their missions.
Join us at 7:15 PM in Hendricks Hall on Wednesday, October 19 to hear from Mommies Matter!
Everyone is invited to hear from Mommies Matter about their mission and why it matters Mommies Matter provides an extension of pregnancy care services by journeying with single mothers through their pregnancies, the birth of their child, and beyond.
Mommies Matter celebrates the courage of a single mom who chooses life for her unborn baby and realizes the many challenges of single motherhood. Mommies Matter believe firmly that life is better when we do it together, and they serve as a safe and nonjudgmental space to engage in authentic relationships with other single moms, supportive Allies, and others who are growing and learning right alongside one another.
Join us at 7:15 PM in Hendricks Hall on Wednesday, October 26 to hear from Kindway!
Everyone is invited to an evening of compelling testimonies full of inspiration and hope from those whose lives have been impacted by incarceration. Kindway exists to invest in the lives of those impacted by incarceration by empowering people, restoring hope, and honoring god.
This event will also offer a unique shopping experience by making Kindware available. Kindware is a variety of handcrafted gifts made by incarcerated women and men to support their incarcerated brothers and sisters as they transition to freedom.
