The O'Reilly Minute

Dear Parents,

Today, our school joined all of the schools in the Diocese of Columbus in praying the Rosary together via livestream, led by Bishop Fernandes. Each school was invited to send representatives to the Cathedral, while the rest of us participated from our classrooms. We are grateful to the Blouir Family (Anthony, Mary, Joseph, and Charlie) for proudly representing our St. Brigid of Kildare community in person.

This Friday, we will celebrate Saint Brigid Spirit Day! Students and staff are invited to enjoy a dress-down day and wear spirit wear. Our fall athletes are encouraged to wear their team jerseys or shirts. Additional details will be shared in a separate email.

Next week, we’ll look forward to our Annual Fund–sponsored Fall Festival on October 30, when students may wear costumes or fall colors. Please note a change to next week’s school Mass schedule—details and the livestream link will be included in your child’s Friday Folder.

Wishing you continued autumn blessings,

Kathy O’Reilly

Spring Musical Parent Info Meeting

Wednesday, November 5th, 6:00 PM, Enke Hall

This meeting is for prospective musical parents who have students that are interested in participating in the musical. This would include the cast and the stage crew!

Performances will be in April and rehearsals will begin in February after school.

Questions? Contact Olivia Roberts, music teacher, at ms.roberts@stbrigid-school.org.

Classroom Photo Folders Coming Soon

We’re excited to share that our teachers have begun adding photos to classroom folders to capture classroom learning throughout the school year. Each week, teachers will upload a few photos highlighting classroom activities, projects, and events in a Google Drive folder.

Families will be able to access these classroom photo folders for the first time on Thursday, October 30, through a link in the Friday Folder emails. The link will continue to be shared each week in the Friday Folder email.

These new classroom photo folders will replace the Photo Newsletters that were previously featured in Wolfhound Wednesday. This new system provides a more secure and convenient way to share photos of the wonderful things happening in our classrooms each week.

Your Annual Fund Dollars Support ALSO Programs

Did you know that the Annual Fund supports the After School Learning & Service Opportunities (ALSO) Program?

After school Learning and Service Opportunities are available for students through the ALSO program. Sessions in wellness, science, creative writing, literature, and the fine arts are offered at no cost to students who wish to pursue additional endeavors after school. Offerings vary from year-to-year, and range in grade level, with some beginning in third grade.

Students have the opportunity to join one of these programs. They have a wide range of interests and subjects so there is something for every student. A few are Food Explorers, Hobby Club, Card Club, the Spring Musical, Chain Reaction, Battle of the Books, Prayer Club, Speed, Agility and Athletic Training Club, Power of the Pen and Pencil. These programs allow students to explore their talents outside of class and offer an opportunity for socialization and personal growth. The Annual Fund provides supplies and stipends for the teachers.

Please consider supporting the Annual Fund so St. Brigid of Kildare can continue to offer these opportunities to our students.

Thank you to our many families who have already supported the 2025-26 Annual Fund (as of October 20, 2025).
