Dear Parents,
It’s hard to believe that our first quarter is coming to an end this week! Please read our many important updates below.
Virtual Family Conferences
We delayed our September Student Led Conferences to allow more time for the new normal to settle in. Keeping the new normal in mind and holding true to our philosophy of student led conferences, we would like to offer Virtual Family Conferences during the month of November. Our students will be working in class during the next few weeks to reflect on 1st quarter and work on setting goals for 2nd quarter. These virtual family conferences are optional due to the fact that many parents and teachers have been communicating already this year. However, we want to make sure that the lines of communication are always open, and we offer this as a chance for families and teachers to discuss both academic progress and emotional well-being during these challenging times. A Sign Up Genius will be available in the November 4th Wolfhound Wednesday with varied conference times being offered throughout November.
Prayer Warriors
The end of the 1st quarter has brought us time to reflect on the first 10 weeks of school. Our community efforts to keep each other safe and healthy have worked, and have been much appreciated by school staff and school families. Our school staff have also greatly appreciated your kind notes, treats, and prayers as we continue to meet our students’ shifting academic and emotional needs. I would also like to once again invite parents to join the School Advisory Committee (SAC) Prayer Warrior project. We all appreciate the power of these prayers and the lesson you are teaching your children to pray together as a family! The link to sign up for a day to pray for our teachers and staff can be found here:
Free Lunch Program Extended
We have exciting news regarding our school lunch program. We have just received word that the USDA has extended the grant to provide free lunch to all students until June 30th! We are thrilled to be able to offer this program to our families as a great way to eat a healthy free lunch during these challenging times. I would also like to take a moment to recognize our “lunch ladies,” Mrs. Joyce Brown and her team. They have been amazing in their dedication and creativity in providing “room service” with hot delicious lunches to keep our children nourished and ready for learning while enjoying their favorite school foods!
First Semester Wellness Days - Schedule Change
Yesterday I shared in a task force update email that school will be closed November 13, December 11 and January 15 as planned Wellness Breaks for our teachers and students. Thank you for your many positive comments and support for this change. We will continue to keep you updated if future schedule changes are necessary.
We are looking forward to our Fall Fun Festivities this week, our Family Fall Flipgrid, and Family Fall photo opportunities! (Please note: Virtual all school Mass will be on Thursday, October 29th at 9:00 am.)!
Autumn Blessings,
Kathy O’Reilly

Thank You for Supporting the Annual Fund
|
The Annual Fund is a once a year contribution that covers the cost of programs that are planned by our Home and School Association. 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to school projects and activities that enrich the learning experience for our children. Because of this, we will never ask you or your children to sell items door to door to raise money for our school.
Some of the items that have been funded so far this year are:
- Individually wrapped cookies and logo water bottles were provided for Kindergarten WOW Day.
- The New Family Welcome committee made welcome baskets for new families and delivered them to their porches -- they included spirit wear, logo items, etc.
The Annual Fund suggests a $100 donation per child (and $50 suggestion per preschool child). We realize that families have varying financial circumstances, so any gift you can give is appreciated.
