Curriculum Night this year will be done virtually. Parents will receive an email this Friday, September 10 with links to videos and packets detailing the curriculum and expectations for the 21-22 school year.

Blessings,

Student Counseling Services Added
In response to an increased need of social-emotional support for our children, Saint Brigid of Kildare School has worked over the last few years to continually expand the counseling and support services we can offer to our students. As the COVID-19 pandemic has given all of us some degree of trauma, this year we have added more counseling services from Spirit of Peace to work with children both individually and in group settings to discuss anxiety and any other social-emotional topics for which they may need additional support.

Maegan Mclnerney, licensed professional clinical counselor, will be working with students ranging from kindergarten to 8th grade on Tuesdays and Fridays. Maegen specializes in a wide range of topics including anxiety, adjustment, behavioral therapy, life transitions, self esteem, social skills, stress management and more. She has been a volunteer and mentor for St. Catharine Church youth ministry and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Arts degree in Counseling, and Christian Counseling Certification from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She is passionate about helping others through life’s difficulties by empowering and educating her clients while focusing on their God given strengths.

While Maegan will be able to meet with students desiring additional support, Ms. Williams, school counselor, will be able to work with all children in all classrooms to offer instruction and activities focusing on social-emotional topics such as relationship skills, decision making and managing emotions. Parents will be notified and parental permission will be required prior to Maegen meeting with any children.

We are excited to welcome Maegan and offer these additional support services to our children!
