The Saliba Scoop
Dear SBK Families,
I am happy to share that Fr. Black and several other clergy are joining us today to bless our classrooms, students and staff for the 2026-2027 school year! We are fortunate to have clergy that love and pray for us each day. Please join me in praying for vocations to the priesthood and religious life:
Lord Jesus, as You once called the first disciples to make them fishers of men, let your sweet invitation continue to resound: Come follow Me! Give young men and women the grace of responding quickly to your voice. Support our bishops, priests and consecrated people in their apostolic labor. Grant perseverance to our seminarians and to all those who are carrying out the ideal of a life totally consecrated to your service.
Awaken in our community a missionary eagerness. Lord, SEND WORKERS TO YOUR HARVEST and do not allow humanity to be lost for the lack of pastors, missionaries and people dedicated to the cause of the Gospel. Mary, Mother of the Church, the model of every vocation, help us to say “yes” to the Lord who calls us to cooperate in the divine plan of salvation.
Amen
A few reminders:
-
If your child is in Wolfhound Clubhouse with an absence to report, please include Mrs. Banks, the homeroom teacher, and attendance@stbrigid-school.org.
- When sending transportation changes, please only do so the week of the change (instead of several weeks in advance). This helps our teachers and office staff with organization. Thank you!
We are so excited to welcome you to Curriculum Night this week! It is a wonderful opportunity to see what your children will be learning and experiencing each day. Together with a great education, our top priority is helping your child know and love Christ for a lifetime. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Calling All Room Parents!
Home and School is looking to finalize the Room Parent volunteer lists for our Fall Harvest Party (Friday, October 30th, 1:30pm) and St Valentine’s Party (Friday, February 12th, 1:30pm). Three (3) parents per homeroom will be selected (by draw of names) from all names submitted in each class; interested and PGC certified parents can sign up to volunteer via this link no later than Friday, September 4th. Once names are drawn and confirmed, a Room Parent informational meeting will be held in early September with details for the upcoming class parties.
Additionally, Social Chairs are needed for each grade (ideally 2-4 parents per grade, PGC certified applicants may register to volunteer). This is a great opportunity to organize after-hours social events for parents and/or families of each grade to get together and socialize within our community. If you enjoy meeting new families, putting names and faces with students and parents, and have an interest in organizing a fun evening once or twice a year, we’d love to have you on the Social Chair team! Please use this link to sign up by Friday, September 4th.
And don't forget, Classroom parties are funded in part from the Annual Fund. We appreciate your early donation!
