The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,
We sent a test Emergency Parent Alert earlier this morning as part of our back-to-school safety reviews. If you did not receive an email, text, and/or phone call, please contact Meredith Dorley at mrs.dorley@stbrigid-school.org.
Tomorrow in your child's Friday Folders we will be sending home a paper with information on our new school Mass plan in the church. This new plan begins next Thursday, October 2. Please review this information in your child's folder. This will only be sent home as a paper flyer in order to keep the information more secure and offline.
On Thursday afternoon and Friday this week, all of the school administrators of the Diocese of Columbus will gather for their annual retreat. Please hold our administrators in your family's prayers and please pray a special prayer for them, that this retreat is a time of reflection and renewal as they grow in their faith and spend time with the Lord in prayer, renewed in their ministry of service for Jesus through Catholic school leadership.
Enjoy the Barn Bash and the long weekend!
Autumn blessings,
Kathy O’Reilly

St. Brigid Alum Performs at Ohio First Lady's Luncheon
Gianna Dziewiatkowski, a 2022 graduate of St. Brigid of Kildare School and current senior at Bishop Watterson High School, was invited to sing “America the Beautiful” at the 2025 Ohio First Lady’s Luncheon.
The luncheon, held Friday, September 12 at Lower.com Field, celebrated the philanthropic work of Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine and raised support for causes such as the Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Ohio, which provides free books to young children across the state.
Gianna proudly represented the St. Brigid and Bishop Watterson communities, and had the opportunity to meet Governor and First Lady DeWine, Bishop Earl Fernandes, and country artist Zac Brown, who also performed at the event. She described the experience as a highlight of her senior year!
The Ohio First Lady’s Charitable Foundation, established in 2021, hosts the luncheon each year to raise awareness and funding for the First Lady’s philanthropic initiatives.

Damascus Summer Camp Registration through St. Brigid of Kildare
We are excited to announce that St. Brigid has 200 spots reserved for Damascus Summer Camp next summer! (If you have not seen it already, please read Fr. Black's letter to you all about the joy that this is :)). This is for all kids entering into 6th-12th grade the fall of 2026.
We have Week 4 of camp blocked out (June 28th - July 3rd), with 50 high school boy spots, 40 high school girl spots, 60 middle school boy spots, and 50 middle school girl spots. The hope and the goal of this is to a) give our parishioners an opportunity for our kids to go to camp and encounter Jesus, b) to do it peacefully and not in the rush and chaos of thousands of others signing up, and c) to show our support for our youth and their faith journey.
Pre-Order registration for Damascus Summer Camps 2026 opened on Thursday, August 21st and will close October 31st!
This is special early access for Pre-Order groups (different from general registration dates you may have seen online).

Steps to Register:
-
Log in [UltraCamp Account Link] or create new user

If you have financial aid or other registration-related questions, please reach out to: registration@damascus.net or (740) 480-1288 ext. 1.
We can't wait for your child(ren) to attend camp and to encounter our Lord in a new way!
