The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,

Thank you for your cooperation as we have worked to find a solution to lessening our morning drop off traffic on Avery Road. The last few mornings have been very successful in spacing out traffic flow, so we ask that you please continue dropping off at the time you have been. We have hired staff to allow children to enter the building a few minutes earlier, where they wait spaced six feet apart in the gym until they may enter their classrooms. We stagger their exit from the gym so that they are safely spaced apart when walking to their classrooms. In addition, the S curve that we have added in the parking lot traffic flow has helped to alleviate build-up on Avery Road. Thank you for your cooperation, and please continue to do as you have been doing to continue this success!

Yesterday I sent out a guide for when students need to switch to HOME learning due to illness or taking precautions. That guide can always be referenced on our Safe Together webpage here. Please see the article below on COVID Care for Students and when to keep your children home.

Update on COVID Care for Students
This is truly a school year like no other! In years past, we would encourage students to be in school despite minor symptoms of illness (runny nose, headache, cough, stomach ache, sore throat, etc.).
This year, we are encouraging the very opposite. Please keep your child (and their siblings) home with even seemingly minor complaints for at least 24 hours. This time will help you evaluate them and treat or test for the cause of symptoms. Healthcare Providers will consult with you by phone to determine a plan for care if symptoms persist past the 24 hours.

When in doubt, feel free to email or call Peggy Iannarino, School Nurse at mrs.iannarino@stbrigid-school.org. Keeping sick students and siblings home will keep us all healthy!
Last Week to Wear Shorts
Please remember, according to our dress code, this is the last week students may wear shorts to school.
