Principal's Message

Hello Wolfpack!

This week, we center our focus on our Pack PRIDE attributes of perseverance, respect, integrity, discipline, and excellence – qualities we aspire to see ingrained in all our young individuals.

  • Perseverance teaches our children the importance of resilience and determination, guiding them to navigate challenges with unwavering commitment.
  • Through respect, we instill the values of empathy, kindness, and inclusivity, fostering a supportive environment where diverse perspectives are honored and embraced.
  • Integrity serves as the compass guiding our student's moral decisions, emphasizing the significance of honesty, accountability, and ethical conduct.
  • Discipline empowers our students to cultivate self-control, organization, and focus, equipping them with the skills to pursue their goals with diligence and purpose.
  • Lastly, excellence propels our students to strive for greatness in all aspects of their lives, encouraging continuous growth, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of personal best.

We urge you to continue to reinforce these values at home through meaningful conversations, positive reinforcement, and by setting examples. Together, we can cultivate a generation of resilient, empathetic, and principled individuals who will contribute positively to their communities. Thank you for your support in shaping the character and future leaders of tomorrow.

The strength of the wolf is in the pack.

Professional Learning Improvement Day (PLID)

I would like to thank our families for supporting our staff in our professional learning. Below are descriptions and pictures show casing Tuesday's PLID.

Buildings Thinking Classrooms

Building Thinking Classrooms is a strategy designed to increase student discourse and engagement.

Matt Halpin guided teachers through a thinking problem to illustrate this educational approach that helps students develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and active engagement.

Digital Reading Tools for Life

Digital Reading Tools for Life will provide hands-on practice using the latest digital equity tools on your curriculum for maximum engagement and accessibility.

Led by Kristin Smith, teachers engaged in Universal Protocol for Accommodations in Reading (uPAR) which gives teachers empirical evidence whether a student will benefit from an instructional read-aloud.

Incorporating Multiple Perspectives into the Curriculum

Incorporating Multiple Perspectives into the Curriculum will help teachers challenge the single story that is sometimes presented in their curriculum. It will include conversation, strategies and time to choose materials that offer diverse perspectives and create a more complete experience for students.

Marina Gruis and Rachael Niemi presented strategies and scenarios.

Teacher Wellness Workshop

Teacher Wellness Workshop is aimed to help teachers find balance. Healthy teachers serve as positive role models for students, fostering a dynamic learning environment with their energy and resilience. Prioritization of health promotes well-being and effective communication, contributing to happier classrooms.

Amy Sinisterra and Tera Ray led teachers through a series of activities.
