Black History Month is in full swing at DBCR, and our hallways are alive with vibrant decorations honoring the rich heritage and invaluable contributions of our Black community. Check our social media channels for more highlights from this month! 

On top of guiding our current Seniors through the college application process (more than 84% have already been accepted to a four-year university!), our College Success & Alumni Persistence team has been busy supporting parents and alumni as well! From FAFSA workshops to our new “Parent University” program, DBCR is committed to accompanying our community “through and to” college.  

Congratulations to Amy ('24), Natalie ('25), Maitlyn ('26), and Anthony ('27) for earning the “Employee of the Quarter” Award! At Georgetown University, Francis J. Collins Funeral Home, The Nature Conservancy, Winston & Strawn LLP, and beyond, our students are contributing and learning in their work-study placements in so many ways. Follow us on social media to learn more about each awardee and read the incredible feedback from each of their supervisors. 

Our DBCR alumni are not only contributing their skills and talents to their businesses and communities, but they are also advocating for the next generation of DBCR students! 

We’re so proud of Diana Mendez (‘18), who works at prominent law firm Stradley Ronon as an Administrative Assistant. Diana helped organize a fundraiser during Hispanic Heritage Month to support of our College Success & Alumni Persistence program. Thank you, Diana and Stradley Ronon! 

Anaga DeZoysa is a first-year Social Studies teacher at DBCR through the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program based at the University of Notre Dame.

We celebrated St. Don Bosco Week with Mass, a lip sync battle, House Olympics, and more! It was a week filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a true celebration of our Salesian values of Faith, Family, Future, and FUN!  

Both the boys' and girls' basketball teams recently made DBCR history with their debut in the PVAC playoffs! The boys' team advanced to the Quarterfinals, while the girls' team reached the Semifinals—an outstanding achievement for both squads.
