Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

I Timothy 4:12

Chaplain's Corner

PACS Families,

We hope you’ve had a great weekend! Here’s a glimpse back at what took place in Chapel this past Wednesday…

Because of testing throughout the week, we did not have our normal Lower School Chapel. We do, however, want to celebrate the fact that our lower school students, through chapel, have given $705.58 to provide aid and help to a mission that we support in Tanzania. Thank you all so, so much!

With middle school trip week going on, we had the opportunity to spend time with just our high school students this past week in Chapel.

This last Wednesday marked our seniors' final chapel service. Understanding that if our current seniors started attending PACS when they were in Pre-K, they will have now attended and been involved in more than 500 chapel services. As we understand the weight and gravity of every chapel service, the realization that comes with knowing that this was the last time that we would have our seniors in this type of setting was extra profound.

Our high school faculty provided tremendous advice to our 12th graders (that certainly applies to our other students as well). Our high school students (9th-11th grades) and their parents provided some great encouragement to our seniors. And as great, truthful, and helpful as all that was/is, we acknowledge that, ultimately, we are to be led and guided by the Word of God…so we camped out in I Timothy 4:12-16 and allowed God to fill in the answers to the blanks that will be appearing just around the corner for our soon-to-be graduates.

Consider the following questions to help open up spiritual conversations with your middle/high school student(s):

  • “How is it easy to allow your age to become your crutch?”

  • “Why is it so important to connect with, join, and serve alongside a local church?”

  • “How does it make you feel to know that other people are watching you and the Gospel is being evaluated through what they see in you?”
