But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power
is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly
of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Chaplain's Corner
PACS Families,

On Wednesday in Chapel, we continued on into Week 3 of a four-part series in the Book of Jonah. As we continue to remind our students, the Book of Jonah is not about a fish, it is about the Gospel. While Jonah focuses on the seriousness of sin and the pursuit of God and Jonah chapter 2 shows us our options while “in the belly of the fish” (times/seasons of struggle), Jonah 3 confronts us with this question: “How big is your God?”

As you are together at home, in the car, or around the table, consider using the following questions within your family to help facilitate further discussions within your home about the conversations that began in our Chapel service…

  • Why is it comforting to know that God is bigger than your biggest, deepest, and darkest sin…that you can never “out-sin” the grace of God?

  • How does it change the way you look at the people around you (even the worst people around you) when you know that God is bigger than other people’s biggest, deepest, and darkest sin…that they can never “out-sin” the grace of God?

  • How does the following truth apply to you: “The scars that you carry uniquely qualify you to speak into someone’s life that is currently going through what God has already brought you out of.”?
