“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you."
John 14:15 - 17

It’s hard to believe, but Wednesday was our last Chapel for the 2016-2017 school-year!
It has been an honor being a part of what God is doing in the lives our students through our chapel program. In this week’s chapel, I told them that our greatest concern for them this summer is that without the structure and spiritual focus of this school around them, they “drift” away from a vibrant walk with God. I also stated that just because they will not have the structure and spiritual focus of the school surrounding them during the summer months, that does not mean that drift is inevitable.
As you and your family go about life this week, consider the following questions for conversation:
CONVERSATIONS STARTERS:
Read through John 14:15-24
- “Why is it important to know that the foundation of our relationship with God is grace through faith in Jesus? What did we do to deserve God’s grace?”
- “Why do you believe that Jesus linked loving Him with being obedient to His Word three times in the passage above (verses 15,21,23)?”
- “How do you feel about the following statement: ‘Based on our obedience to the Word and the Will of God, you and I are as close to God as we choose to be.’?”
- “Why should we read the Bible?”
- “How can I pray for you?”
Thank you so much for continuing in your homes the conversations that we have in our chapels! As I am already mapping out our chapels for next year, I am so excited about all that God has in store for us!
