Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Special Guest Speaker for Prince Parenting Tips
On Thursday, November 14 th , Prince will host its second Prince Parenting Tips meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Chorus Room. All parents are invited to attend. The guest speaker at this event will be Jonathan C. Robinson, Ph.D.

Dr. Robinson has conducted his private practice of clinical psychology for over 40 years and is a mentalligent psychotherapy practitioner.  His book, Teachable Moments: Building Blocks of Christian Parenting , is a source book for cognitive behavioral therapy with children, teens, couples, and families. He is a sought-after speaker and workshop presenter on the topics of child and adolescent development, stress management, grief recovery, and PTSD. He hosted a radio call-in show for ten years covering mental health issues, is a columnist for a local parenting magazine, and has been a featured presenter for regional and national professional conferences.

Dr. Robinson offers the following description of his presentation for Prince parents:

In Proverbs 22:6, we are told to “Raise your children in the ways of the Lord, so that, when they grow old, He will not depart from them.” In the New Testament, Paul writes his protégé, Timothy, that we are saved not by our works, but by the grace of God. (2 Tim.1:9) These two verses form the foundation of what I describe as “Grace-Filled Parenting.” Join me on Thursday, November 14th to fill in the blanks and help figure out how you can help manage the multiple stressors we all encounter in life while also embrace the practice of Grace-Filled Parenting.

Chaplain's Corner
Dear Parents,

In middle and high school Chapel this week, we were very blessed to have Mark Lamb come and share with our students. Mark is a local student pastor with experience developing leaders with Connect Ministries and WinShape Camps.

Mark spoke to our students about following Jesus daily in the small moments in life even when stress and anxiety try to pull us away. Mark encouraged the students to remember that God is near, and see every moment as an opportunity to walk in wonder at who God is and what He is doing.
