“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

Matthew 5:9

Chaplain's Corner
PACS Families,

It’s hard to believe that it’s already November! As we continue on into the Fall, in Chapel, we’re walking through the very beginning of Jesus’s most famous sermon…the Sermon of the Mount (Matthew 5-7). Jesus starts this sermon by talking about what it means to be blessed by God and what it takes to be blessed by God. Throughout this series, we keep coming back to this core truth:

“The blessings of God are not as much about what God does
for me as much as they are about what God does through me.”

In other words, the only way to find true and lasting happiness in our lives is to be in close relationship with God…and we are closest to God when we are living out the mission and purpose that He created us to live out…and the ways in which our God blesses us are His equipping of us for that mission and purpose.

This past week, Dr. Clark Daniel (middle school Bible teacher) led us through Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”

[READ Matthew 5:1-2,9]

In your homes, around your tables, and in your traveling, consider the following questions to continue the conversations in your family that have begun in our chapels…

  • Dr. Daniel stated, “Peacemakers are not peace-breakers.” What are some specific ways that it can be easy to be a “peace-breaker”?

  • How is it easy to confuse “quiet” for “peace”? Why are these two things different?

  • Where/Who is our only true source of peace? How does that apply to family, friends, school, sports, etc.?

Please let us know if there are any additional ways that we may be able to serve you and serve alongside you!

This past week, PACS integrated our two major software systems (FACTS and RenWeb ParentsWeb) to better serve our school community.

While this change will have many positive effects school-wide, there are a few items that will impact our families in the near future:

  • Use your current ParentsWeb username and password to log-in to this site. From the menu bar at http://www.factsmgt.com, select the “Parent Log in” drop-down and the “FACTS Family Online (ParentsWeb)” option. Your FACTS username and password will no longer be needed.

  • Once you’ve logged in successfully, you will see a new link in the Family Information section that will open your FACTS account.

  • There are no changes to the RenWeb Home app, so you may continue to use this application if desired.
