What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.

Lunch and Learn
PACS parent Lori Wilfong shared her thoughts about her nursing career to students as part of the school's Lunch and Learn program.  Mrs. Wilfong communicated that nursing is a practical way to be the "hands and feet of Jesus" while serving patients.  She said that nursing takes knowledge, skill, and compassion.  With skill nurses do a variety of medical tasks including inserting IVs, calculating medicines, and inserting tubes, but in all ways nurses have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients.
Chaplain's Corner

In Chapel this week, I spoke from Philippians 3:8-14. Coming to the end of the 1st Quarter, we talked about how important it is to stop, pivot, and look/reflect back on where God has brought us.

As you and your family go about life this week, consider the following questions for conversation:

CONVERSATIONS STARTERS:

Read through Philippians 3:8-14.

“When you look back over the 1st Quarter, what are some things that went better than you expected? What are some things that went worse than you expected?”

“For the things that went well last Quarter, how can you build on that and move forward?”

For the things that didn’t go well last Quarter, how can you learn from that and move forward?”

“What are some of your goals right now?”

“How do your goals help you reach the Ultimate Goals (“…the worth of knowing Christ Jesus…” “…that I may gain Christ and be found in Him…” “…that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection…”) that were discussed in Chapel?

“How can I pray for you?”

We love partnering with each one of you, and if there is anything that you ever need, please do not hesitate to let me know!
