. . . for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption
that is in Christ Jesus . . .

Chaplain's Corner
PACS Families,

This past week in our middle/high school chapel, we continued our semester-long series called “BLESSED.” Throughout this series, we are focusing on the truth that even though many times we think of God’s blessings in terms of what He does for us, in reality, God’s blessings are all about what He does through us.

The following are questions, that would be great conversations within your family:

[READ Matthew 5:1-2, 4; Isaiah 64:6; Jeremiah 17:9;
Mark 7:21-23; Romans 3:23]

  • In Chapel, we said “Before I can be made right with God, I need to be right about myself.” When we usually see ourselves as “not all that bad,” how does the Bible describe us?

  • We can never experience real healing from God until we honestly mourn our real condition before God. What does it mean for us to “mourn our real condition before God”?

Please let us know if there are any additional ways that we may be able to serve you and serve alongside you!

Distinguished Speaker Series
Whitney Capps, a national speaker and writer, is the Fall Distinguished Speaker at Prince Avenue Christian School. Whitney will speak to PACS middle and high school students on Wednesday, September 19th at 10:00 am in the Prince Avenue Baptist Church Worship Center. Prince parents, families, and friends are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Whitney is a speaker for Proverbs 31 Ministries and a writer for the new Bible app, First 5, with more than 1,000,000 downloads and users. Whitney's first book (B & H Publishers) and Bible study with video curriculum (LifeWay) will be released in early 2019.

As a Bible study geek, Whitney’s delight is to dig into God’s Word for profound yet practical truth. A communicator at heart, Whitney comes alive sharing those truths with others. In her former life she served as Talent Acquisitions professional for the corporate office of Chick-fil-A. This invaluable experience gave Whitney her love for helping women connect their passion with their purpose for the glory of God.

Whitney is married to Chad, and they have four sons that are students at Prince.
