Dear Wolves,
No matter how successful we became at remote and now concurrent instruction, it will never replicate the vitality of our school or the vibe inside our classrooms when all students return. However, our teachers have worked incredibly hard to provide meaningful learning experiences amidst a forest of complexities and constraints. This week we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week. Our PTSA partnered with Eastlake to celebrate our teachers. I know that our students and parents join me in thanking our teachers for their efforts throughout the year, and especially during this difficult time of unappealing options and missed opportunities.

Staff Spotlight
Ms. Riely is one of the most understanding and helpful teachers I have had. She always puts in so much effort to make our classes more fun, enjoyable, helpful, and impactful. She had unique ways in which she teaches us our material and the subject she teaches being an AP course, makes it easier for her students to learn. She always makes her classroom a comfortable place for every student and gives us the opportunity to be ourselves in class. Over this year, she has helped me grow so much and I am so grateful for that. She deserves the spotlight!

Student Communication Features in Teams
Students now have more collaborative and communication tools in Teams. Students can initiate Chats with individual or groups of teachers and students. Students can use the Chat to share notes, files and links with their peers. They can also access Breakout Room meeting notes, files and links after the class meeting has ended. The Chat feature allows students to share their screen but does not include audio or video.
In addition to Chat features, students will also be able to schedule and join meetings with classmates without teacher supervision. This could be transformative in terms of study groups, collaborative projects and peer tutoring.
Please encourage yourstudent to utilize these new feature.
