STUDENT PICK UP: If you need to pick up your student during the day, we ask that you please send a note with your student in the morning with a time that you will be picking them up. That way we can write them a pass to hand to their teacher when it's time to leave. This avoids having to disrupt classes by calling in looking for a student.
|
|
Study Lab will take place every Tuesday from 2:55-4:15 p.m. and Thursdays from 2:55-3:30 p.m. Students will be able to stay after with a teacher from their house to get extra support or make up missing work. A late bus will be available.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ANNOUNCEMENTS
|
|
SKI CARDS:
Students and parents! Alpine Valley is offering a ‘ski card’ that allows you to purchase lift tickets at a reduced price during the season. The card itself costs $20. Present the card at the ticket window to buy a reduced priced ($20) lift ticket for skiing after 3pm Sunday through Friday during the ski season. You can buy a card for anyone under the age of 18. See Mr. Turk for information or to purchase the cards. Cash only.
BAND:
Upcoming Band Events: Lake Geneva Winter Parade - Featuring the 7th and 8th grade marching bands. The parade is Saturday, Dec. 7th at 5:00 pm. 7th and 8th grade band students should be to LGMS by 3:30 pm. Dress Warm. Wear your band hat or a black hat/headband. Decorate your instruments with lights. The 5th-8th Grade Winter Band concert is Tuesday, Dec. 10th at 6:00 pm at LGMS. Band students need to wear their full band uniforms: red band shirts, khaki pants, ALL black shoes/socks. Students need to be in their assigned location by 5:30 pm.
MUSIC:
Harry Potter - Students attending the Harry Potter trip need to be in the large group room by 2:15 on Friday, Dec. 13th. You must have a ride arranged home from LGMS for 12:30 am. Students are encouraged to dress in Harry Potter attire. You may bring money for concessions at the theater.
DANCE TEAM:
Dance Team will perform on Monday, November 25th. Parents should be here by 4:00 p.m. to cheer us on. The girls will NOT make the 4:20 p.m. bus, You may pick them up after their performance or they may watch the game and take the 5:20 p.m. bus home. We will only practice now on our performance nights.
CHESS CLUB:
Chess Club will meet on Wednesday, December 4th and Wednesday, December 11th. Eligibility forms are due on Wednesday, December 4th to participate.
8th BOYS BASKETBALL
: The boys have been working hard to try and play as a team, practicing skills, and learning about new offensive and defensive concepts. We have the final three games on our schedule: 12/2 @ East Troy MS, 12/5 Home vs. Whitewater MS, and 12/9 @ Elkhorn MS. Please consult the practice schedule or contact Coach Kirst or Marten with any questions.

7th Grade music students had an amazing "opera-tunity" taking the train to Chicago to see Mozart's Don Giovanni.
This is all made possible by the generous donation from the Lake Geneva Chapter of the Lyric Opera.
The students were amazing and were totally engaged in Mozart’s Don Giovanni.

Students in 7th grade Lake house science have been working at lab stations investigating frogs, amphibians, and reptiles. They have been working hands-on with specimens, reading information about the different phyla, and investigating each of these groups from chapter 3. Students may use their textbooks for research, and they are also able to access Google Classroom for study tools and resources. Ask your son/daughter to show you their Google Classroom account, and ask them to share what they have been learning in science class.

MISCELLANEOUS INFO TO KNOW

BREAKFAST: Breakfast is served starting at 7:00 a.m. The cafeteria area is only open to students purchasing breakfast.

BUS PASSES: If your student will be riding the bus home with a friend, please send a letter in the morning indicating who he/she will be going home with. We will then issue a bus pass.
LATE BUSES - NEW THIS YEAR:
Late buses run as follows:
3:30 p.m. - Tuesdays and Thursdays
4:15 p.m. - Mondays through Thursdays
5:30 p.m. - Mondays through Fridays
LATEX BALLOONS: We have students with latex allergies so please, no latex balloons.
WATER BOTTLES: Students are allowed to have water bottles during the school day - WATER ONLY. Please, no other liquids.

Chromebook Care
Parents and Students: While we understand that accidents happen, it is important that students do their best to properly care for their chromebook. Should something happen to the chromebook, students should complete a Chromebook Repair Request form and take it, along with their chromebook, to the LMC.

Saturday, December 7 marks an early sighting of Santa Claus in the Badger High School Commons. The Music Department fundraiser runs from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Plenty of music and youth activities surround the family breakfast, an annual event at the school. From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. dozens of vendors will be set up at Badger again this year for the 4th Annual Badger DECA Holiday Craft and Vendor Fair. Enter on the East Side, door J, and head into the Sports Center. FREE Admission, Raffles and more. At 1 pm., the Lake Geneva Middle School Fiddle Club & Jazz Choir will perform at the Lake Geneva Museum, 255 Mill St, Lake Geneva. Community members can enjoy classic Christmas carols as well as fiddle and jazz tunes. Following a day of fun and holiday spirit head to downtown Lake Geneva for the Great Electric Children’s Christmas Parade. More Information:
