I am honored to have been elected to serve as WICNM’s President for 2023. I am looking forward to an exciting fun filled year, our committees are working hard on making plans for some great events and supporting wonderful causes again this year.

We have had some great leadership in the past and I hope to continue the leadership

path that they have laid down as a foundation for the association. Thank you to our

The Philanthropy Committee will be collecting items for

New Futures School.


If you would like to make a donation, please bring something off of the following list:


  • Baby items (formula, diapers, wipes, clothing, bottles)
  • In lieu of maternity clothing, we would like leggings, sweatpants, large tops
  • Items such as shampoo, conditioner, pads, tampons, soap, and hand/baby wipes are always needed


New Futures is an APS School of Choice for pregnant and parenting students. We offer an environment that promotes rigorous learning as well as provides essential services to support and foster good parenting practices. Find Out More


New Mexico Construction Safety Coalition


Last November, the WICNM Board voted to become a proud partner of the New Mexico Construction Safety Coalition. This group meets quarterly and is focused on safety in the construction industry. All WICNM Members are invited to attend and there is no cost.

Savy Francis

Savy's Story

As a union Pipefitter with Local 537, Savy has worked on a range of exciting projects, from a skyscraper in the Seaport to the Ink Block condominiums in the South End, to the Encore Boston Harbor Casino. In recent years, she has had many reasons to celebrate. She recently completed her apprenticeship and secured her license as a pipefitter, purchased her own home, got married the love of her life, and welcomed a daughter, Jorani, into the world, all the while honing her craft.
