Women In Construction New Mexico

Newsletter

Dear Members,

As I reflect on our Leadership Development Event held on June 16th, I am filled with gratitude and pride for what we accomplished together.

Planning for this event began back in February. As with any event, there were countless meetings, decisions, and details to work through. Throughout the planning process, there was a continuous thought in the back of my mind: How can we make this better? Will people find value in what we're creating? Will our efforts make an impact?

The answer became clear the moment our members and guests began arriving.

The most rewarding part of hosting these events is watching women connect with one another, build new relationships, share experiences, laugh together, and simply enjoy being in a space where they feel supported and understood. Those moments remind us exactly why we do this work.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our Board of Directors. I could not ask for a better group of women to work alongside. Each board member brings dedication, passion, and a genuine commitment to our mission. While we may approach challenges from different perspectives, we always share the same goal: to continue growing Women in Construction New Mexico and to reach, support, and empower women throughout the construction industry.

Together, we are building more than a professional organization—we are building a community where women can learn, lead, connect, and thrive.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this event. Your involvement is what makes our organization strong, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.

With appreciation,

Sharon Montoya
