NOMINATED FOR 4 NEWS & DOCUMENTARY EMMY AWARDS
Three films from the Production Assistance Program received News and Documentary Emmy nominations! Leah Wolchok's
VERY SEMI-SERIOUS received two nominations, one for Outstanding Arts and Culture Programming and one for Outstanding Editing: Documentary Long Form. For her film
MY ENEMY, MY BROTHER, Ann Shin received a nomination for Outstanding Short Documentary and Johanna Hamilton's film
1971 received a nomination for Outstanding Historical Programming: Long Form. Congratulations to all the filmmakers!

7 WMM FILMS SELECTED
FOR IFP FILM WEEK
We are proud to have the following WMM supported films in the 2016 IFP Spotlight on Documentaries! Congratulations to these talented directors:
Debra Zimmerman, along with Production Assistance Program Director, Barbara Ghammashi and Director of Distribution, Kristen Fitzpatrick, will be participating in Spotlight on Documentaries at IFP Film Week, as well as conducting filmmaker and industry meetings throughout the week.

WMM WORLD & US PREMIERES AT FILM FESTIVALS
WMM has had a banner year with film festivals beginning with two top honors at the Sundance Film Festival, and numerous Audience Awards and accolades from SXSW, Hot Docs, Full Frame, True/False, Human Rights Watch Film Festivals and beyond!
Telluride Film Festival is about to launch, and we're proud that WMM new release,
MEN: A LOVE STORY will have its World Premiere and be presented as one of only a handful of films selected each year. Directed
by award-winning filmmaker and photographer Mimi Chakarova (PRICE OF SEX), the film takes a look at masculinity in America, and what men think about women and love.
A REVOLUTION IN FOUR SEASONS, directed by Jessie Deeter, follows two young women fighting to shape their lives along with the political future of Tunisia, the sole country to emerge from the Arab Spring uprisings as a functional democracy. The film will
open the Margaret Mead Film Festival, which is also its US premiere! Film subject Jawhara Ettis will travel from Tunisia to attend the post-screening discussion.
SONITA and OVARIAN PSYCOS continue to tear up the festival circuit. This fall
SONITA will screen at the
Hamptons International Film Festival,
Milwaukee Film Festival, and the Camden International Film Festival. While
OVARIAN PSYCOS will also be screening at the
Milwaukee Film Festival, and
Watsonville Film Festival.
