Opening Doors, a local non-profit that provides emergency and transitional housing to women, alone or with children, was in need of laundry soap, paper towels, dishwasher soap and floor cleaner. Women United partnered with a local women's church group to help supply some immediate needs at Opening Doors. Additionally, a military family that is relocating provided additional hygiene products.
In response to ongoing operational needs of one of our funded partners, Women United organized a supply drive in late July to assist Opening Doors. A women’s group from Grand View United Methodist Church joined us in efforts to provide many cleaning essentials, as well as personal hygiene items. We are grateful for this united approach to support those in need in our community."-Judy Wolf, Women United.
“Thanks to the Women’s United group for their recent supply drive. Cleaning supplies and laundry soap are so important to ensure we are providing a clean and safe environment for the families we serve at Opening Doors. It truly takes a community and we are thankful to be a part of such a great one!”- Heather LuGrain, Opening Doors Program Director
Thank you to Opening Doors for providing a much needed service in our community and thank you to the local church and family for giving back!
