A Summer of Stories, Friendship, and Finding Voices | | |
Over three inspiring weeks, Women Writing for (a) Change welcomed 40 young writers in grades 4–12 to our Summer Writing Camps. Together, they explored poetry, storytelling, and creative expression while discovering the power of their own voices.
Camp was about more than writing—it was a place where young people found friendship, built confidence, and discovered the joy of writing bravely, listening deeply, and celebrating one another's stories.
| | | | Thank you to our campers, families, facilitators, and supporters for making this summer one to remember. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of writers next year! | | | | |

Let Your Body Speak
A Restorative Mini-Retreat for Listening Within
| | | | |
Friday, July 31 | 12:00-4:00pm
In partnership with Galia Collaborative, we invite you to step out of the noise and into something quieter, deeper, and often overlooked — your own body. Through guided breathwork, reflective writing, and shared space, we will gently explore what becomes available when we shift our attention inward.

Bounty of Words is Women Writing for (a) Change's annual fall fundraiser celebrating stories, community, and the power of voice. Join us for an evening of connection and inspiration while supporting outreach writing programs, free classes, author readings, and scholarships—helping ensure that more voices are heard, valued, and shared.
We’re also excited to announce this year’s keynote speaker, Jackie Congedo, Chief Executive Officer of the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center. Jackie will share reflections on storytelling, her background as a journalist, and why bearing witness through story matters in her work today.
