Researchers found that gender-based violence against female workers is frighteningly common on U.S. farms. They propose the United States can improve the farm work environment with the next farm bill.

The Conversation authors Kathleen Sexsmith, Francisco Alfredo Reyes, and Megan A. M. Griffin outline a path forward that would decrease sexual assault against women and improve working conditions for all U.S. farm workers.
