Centre Gives, our 36-hour online giving event supporting local nonprofits, is happening on May 14-15. In addition to online donations, you can give appreciated securities, IRA distributions, or amplify donations and highlight your business as a sponsor.

Nonprofits can register for Centre Gives now. The Early Bird Registration deadline is March 24. Registration closes on April 7.

We’re hosting a "Success Series" to train nonprofit staff, board members, and volunteers for Centre Gives.

| | In celebration of Women’s History Month, we honor the visionary women whose leadership shaped the nonprofit sector. Their dedication laid the groundwork for the women of today, who continue to carry that legacy forward with passion and purpose. This month, we spotlight some of the remarkable women in our community—founders and leaders of Dancing Against Hunger, Bridge of Hope Centre County, Centre Film Festival, and Centre Safe—whose work is driving meaningful change in areas like food insecurity, family homelessness, the arts, and survivor empowerment. | | Emerging Filmmakers Hub Evolves into Major Cultural Event | | The Centre Film Festival has quickly become a cultural force in Central Pennsylvania, connecting local voices with global cinema. Held at the historic Rowland and State Theatres, it’s more than a week of screenings—it’s a dynamic platform for storytelling, community engagement, and creative exchange. This virtual and in-person hybrid event, recently supported by a Centre Foundation grant, brings together emerging filmmakers, award-winning films, local student showcases, live music, and masterclasses, all while making the arts accessible and highlighting the region's untold stories. | | In addition to donating online at CentreGives.org on May 14 & 15, we offer two unique offline ways for donors to maximize their impact and support their favorite Centre County organizations! | | |
Stocks, bonds, and mutual funds can be directly given to support Centre Gives participating nonprofit organizations.
Compared to cash donations or selling securities and donating after-tax proceeds, giving appreciated securities during Centre Gives amplifies your support of participating organizations.
- The minimum securities gift is only $100 per organization.
- Administrative fee is 2%.
- Eliminate capital gains tax.
- Eligible for tax deduction of full market value.
- Securities can be transferred directly to Centre Foundation.
Centre Gives gifts of securities will be accepted until April 25, 2025.

Individuals can reduce the taxability of their IRA distribution while stretching their impact on Centre Gives participating nonprofit organizations.
Compared to using IRA distributions to give directly to a nonprofit, Centre Gives allows donors to maximize their impact via the stretch pool.
- The minimum IRA distribution is only $100 per organization.
- Administrative fee is 2%.
- Checks can be mailed directly to Centre Foundation before Centre Gives.
Centre Gives IRA distributions will be accepted until April 25, 2025.

Centre Gives Organization Registration is Open
We are pleased to announce a more streamlined nonprofit registration process: A single designated signatory can now sign the Centre Gives contract, directly on CentreGives.org.
If you are an organization participating for the first time, please review the Centre Gives 2025 Nonprofit Participation Guidelines.
Early Bird Registration Window Closes on Monday, March 24th. Submit your organization profile & sign the Centre Gives contract to be eligible for one of two $250 prizes!

Several scholarship opportunities for high school students in the Centre County area are still accepting applications! This is an excellent chance for students to secure financial support for their education. Below are the application periods and important dates for each district:
