Prioritizing Women’s Health This May

May is a time to celebrate women — from Mother’s Day to National Women’s Health Week — and a reminder to prioritize your own health, too.

Mental and physical health are deeply connected. Nutrition, hormones, stress, and lifestyle all play a role in how we feel day to day.

At RCBM, we provide comprehensive support for women at every stage of life — from mental health care to nutrition and wellness services.

What is PMDD?

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a severe form of PMS that can cause significant emotional and physical symptoms, including mood changes, anxiety, and depression.

In this video, Elizabeth Sweet, DNP, PMHNP-BC, explains how PMDD impacts daily life and what treatment options are available.

Treatment may include:

  • SSRIs (daily or during specific phases)
  • Hormonal treatment options
  • Ongoing support from a mental health provider

If symptoms are interfering with your life, you don’t have to manage them alone.
